I was given three of these diaries for review/giveaway purposes. All opinions are my own.
I have something very special to show y’all today. Christmas is coming, and if you’re like me, there are a few people that are always difficult to shop for. I like to give unique gifts, and I try not to take the gift card cop-out too often. Unique gifts that are a) quality, and b) affordable are hard to find, though, and I’m always looking for new ideas. As a small-business owner myself, I love to support and showcase other entrepreneurs, which is why I jumped at the chance to review these beautiful leather diaries published by Leroy Yoder, my contact guy at the printing company that’s printing and distributing my cookbook! I’m giving away one of these diaries (the winner gets to pick the color!), so keep scrolling to get details.
Interested in purchasing one (or several!) of these diaries? Go to this page and scroll down a bit to find them available for purchase.
I loved hearing the story about how these diaries came to be. Leroy explains it in the diaries’ preface:
“My inspiration for creating this diary began the day I read my Grandpa’s personal diaries that I bought at his estate sale. The value of what he left behind in his diaries motivated me to begin one of my own. But it did not take long till a shortage of time and lack of discipline got in the way, resulting in blank lines on many of the pages. What I needed was an easy solution, one that could quickly and easily be filled out at the end of the day in minutes. Unable to find such a diary, I set out to create one, the results of which I truly enjoy and I am sure you will as well.”
As you can see in the pictures and preview links in this post, these diaries are works of art. The covers are stamped leather, and the pages inside are laid out in an intuitive fashion. There are three entries on each page so you can compare three years at a glance.
These diaries are offered in three colors. The brown diary has a masculine feel to it, and the teal and raspberry diaries are more feminine in design. Click here to get a sneak peek inside the brown diary.
All three diaries include checkboxes for you to record the day’s weather and how you felt. Lines are included for describing projects worked on, highlights and news, and brief thoughts for each day.
The diaries include Bible verses and classy illustrations. These are truly quality books inside and out, and they’ll last for years to come! These diaries may be gifts for you now, but in the future, the completed diaries will make wonderful gifts for your children and grandchildren to read and learn from. This Christmas, give a profitable gift – the gift of sentiment, history, culture, and gorgeous leather.
