This post was supposed to happen last Saturday, but life has been a little crazy lately! It’s been awhile since I posted pictures of the horses, so I thought I’d remedy that. I had my camera out the other night and snapped a few shots, but later on in the post I’m also including some pictures that my sisters took. Enjoy!
Josh is always running around creating excitement (and getting dirty, most likely)…
Daddy helping Nikki get Destiny ready…
Katelyn grooming Mocha…
Daddy and our stallion, Rocky Mountain Man…
The rest of the pictures were taken by my sisters Katelyn and Nicole.
The mares with their yearlings…
Destiny and Buttercup talking to each other after being separated for weaning…
Peaches is Katelyn’s newest project.
I took Traveler out to do some groundwork. He was not overly ambitious.
Rocky waiting for his grain…
Nikki and Destiny make great partners!
Traveler’s feet were much in need of trimming. Trimming horses’ hooves burns lots of calories.
Daddy trimmed Rocky’s hooves…and Rocky used the opportunity to snag a headrest. In the background you can see me letting Traveler graze while he dried off from a rinse-off I gave him.
That look on your face when you let your wet horse back into the pasture and he promptly rolls in the dirt.
