I’m leaving you with a short post today because I’m working full time in Holmes County, OH, at my grandparents’ peach stand and am a little short on time right now. I have recipe posts scheduled for the next week and a half, but after that I’m going to need to find a way to juggle everything. I have a ton of recipes all ready to go (pictures taken too), but now I just need to find time to put them together.
I’m starting a week of music camp here in OH starting tomorrow night and going through the following Sunday evening. I’m so excited for the experience! On top of taking two classes, I’ll be participating in two choirs. I love music, especially choral music, and this music camp has been on my bucket list for years, so I’m so thankful it’s finally working out for me to attend.
I’m reading through Deuteronomy right now, and I thought I’d share with you some of the verses that jumped out to me from chapter 5. When I looked at these verses, they just reminded me that God is such a perfect Father to us:
We have a personal relationship with God. He doesn’t just make His covenant with those who have gone before us, but with us as well! I’m so thankful that I can have my own personal relationship with God my Father.
God wants us to fear (reverence) Him not just because He deserves His glory (see last week’s post on that subject), but for our own good.
Our God has such a loving, merciful, forgiving heart that seeks our good. Never forget that.

I usually just surf through your recipes to find a yummy treat for my husband and I. I didn’t realize I was missing out on tasty bites of theological goodness! Yes indeed, thank you Lord for pursuing a personal love relationship with us. Hallelujah and amen!
And now I am going to stop drooling and get on with my studies while the babes sleep.

Yes, what a wonderful Father He is! It seems that since I lost my Daddy 15 years ago, I have seemed to understand the Heavenly Father’s love even more. He is a Father to the fatherless, praise His holy name. I hope you enjoy your time with your grandparents. Sounds like a lot of fun. I am from OH and grew up there…it is a beautiful place! God bless you, Briana. 🙂

Briana, I live in Jefferson County, Ohio, and visit Amish Country north of my cousins who live in New Philadelphia. Would love to visit your Gramma’s peach stand or possibly get to meet you. If you would like to please email me via my personal email. I just started THM about 5 months ago. I’m a mom, hoping to be a grandmother one day soon. Thanks for considering a get together. Blessings, Mary
