Hey y’all! I got another cookbook proof in the mail this past week and have been doing some final editing work, so I thought you guys might like to take a look at some of what’s inside. 😉 I’ll also fill you in on what the schedule’s looking like, and I have an important announcement to make:
Cookbook preorder is ending October 31st!
That means that if you want to get this cookbook for the introductory price of $19.99, you need to act fast! Here are some of the things that you’re getting for a cool twenty dollar bill:
- Nearly 400 recipes
- PICTURES of almost every recipe
- Hard cover
- Spiral binding
- Clear labels and indices
- Almost all of my blog recipes published through July 2016 PLUS tons of cookbook exclusives! (About 1/3 of the book is comprised of cookbook exclusives.)
You can go to my cookbook page to get info about preorder goodies and all that stuff. Click here to jump right to checkout. And while you’re at it, why not pick up a few extras for easy Christmas gifts? The price will be going up to $23.99 on my website on November 1st, so act now!
PS – I’m hoping to reach out to quite a few stores next week to see if they’re interested in carrying my book, so if you have suggestions for me of places that you think would be a good fit, please shoot me an email or comment below! If you have an address as well as a name, that’s super helpful, but even if it’s just a name and basic location, I’d be very grateful.
FAQs:
Books should definitely be mailed out before Christmas, and probably a good bit before then. The covers are currently in production and when we get those back, we’ll be printing. Hopefully we can start distributing around the beginning of December, but that’s subject to change if we run into snags along the way, of course. I’ve learned that publication has many variables….
If you don’t feel comfortable entering a credit card number online through the checkout buttons on this page, you can contact BookCentra, the distributor, by phone (during business hours) at 1.877.442.6657Â or by email at [email protected]. They will help you order and give you an address to which you can mail a check.
If you forgot what the cover looks like:
Now on to the book…(please excuse the coloring in some of these pictures. These were just some quick shots and the lighting wasn’t great.)
The recipe above is a cookbook exclusive called “Fudgy Chocolate Brownie Cake.”
I made a lot of cakes for this book…below: Texas Sheet Cake and One Bowl Chocolate Cake
Some of the recipes, like the Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake below, got cleaned up and re-shot for the book.
There’s even a Greek yogurt tutorial in the back of the book!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip (it was amazing):
Chocolate Whoopee Pies:
And Pumpkin Whoopee Pies:
Lest you think that there are only desserts in this book, check out the Main Dishes category index. The Main Dishes category is actually the biggest category in the book with around 70 recipes! At the beginning of the section, there are two alphabetical indices – one organized by method of cooking and the other organized by protein! There are alphabetical indices at the beginning of each of the 13 categories as well as a comprehensive alphabetical index in the back of the book and an index by fuel type organized by category!
In case you’re wondering how the book is arranged, here are the categories included:
- Breakfast
- Main Dishes
- Side Dishes
- Salads, Salsas, & Pickled Stuff
- Breads, Rolls, & Muffins
- Shakes & Drinks
- Ice Cream & Frozen Desserts
- Cakes & Frostings
- Candy
- Cookies, Brownies, & Bars
- Desserts
- Snacks & Appetizers
- Sauces, Spices, Spreads, & Syrups
OK, OK, so the Main Dishes section is the biggest because I divided the sweets up into like 5 categories, but there *are* other savory categories as well, so I feel I am exonerated. 😉
All that for twenty bucks?? You bet.
So about the timeline…
The covers are currently in production. When they come back, we will be printing the books, then shipping them out. I’m hoping that distribution will start around the beginning of December as previously stated.
About international ordering – that should be opening up next Monday on my cookbook page (you’ll go through the same checkout as everyone else)! You’ll have a week to catch the preorder price. I’m sorry for the delay, but some things are just out of my control, unfortunately. Canadians, remember that I have quite a few Canadian distributors, including Healthy Family Foods right here.
Convinced yet? Excited much? I’m SUPER excited to have books in hand!! This past week I’ve been poring over the proof one last time, trying to catch all the little errors that have crept through all the many revisions I’ve already made. Thankfully the mistakes are few and far between these days, so I’d like to think I’ve almost caught them all. But please, please, please – when you get your books, let me know of any mistakes you see so I can fix them for the next printing! There’s nothing I hate worse than errors in printed material. (But keep in mind that I’ve left a few colloquialisms in the book for sake of style and familiarity.)

I just came upon your web site. Can we still get your book at the pre-order price? Also I am eating low-carb (Metabolism-Miracle). How can we use your book to follow the low carb?
Briana Thomas says
Hi Mabel! No, I’m afraid the preorder price was only available for the month of October. The book is currently available for purchase at $23.99, and it will be released this coming Friday, December 9th! Not all of the recipes in the book are low carb and the book is not specifically geared towards low carb eating, but a little over half of the recipes would use low carb ingredients. 🙂
Crystal says
I am so excited about your new cookbook. I have had mine pre-ordered for a while now. Can’t wait to receive it. Love all your recipes.
Erica C says
Are all of the recipes THM approved? I’m assuming so but I wanted to ask. 😛
Briana Thomas says
The book is not affiliated with or endorsed by THM, but all the recipes are compatible to the best of my knowledge. 🙂
Twila says
I’m excited about your cookbook and the price is excellent for hardcover and spiral bound. Now I won’t have to look your recipes up online anymore! (I just made your mint chocolate chip ice cream for the second time this week! Once for a THM lunch and tomorrow I’m taking it to a fellowship meal.) Suggestion for a store- Keystone Housewares, Mifflinburg, Pa.
Amanda says
Hello Briana, I am beyond excited to receive your cookbook.
May I ask if the THM sister’s have approved your cookbook?
Briana Thomas says
Hi Amanda! No, this book is not affiliated with or endorsed by THM. However, everything is compatible with the THM plan as far as I know from my 3 years of experience.
Adeana says
The cookbook looks fabulous! Just curious as to whether or not you have included your dairy free options in the book? I am trying to be dairy free and not sure if I can handle being tempted by too many delicious dairy recipes, if you know what I mean.
Thanks, Adeana
Briana Thomas says
Hi Adeana! Most of the recipes on my website are in the cookbook, and there are a lot of new ones as well! So there are a mixture of dairy and non-dairy recipes in the book. I haven’t marked the allergy info in the book due to possible legal ramifications, though (in case I should happen to get it wrong…).
Adeana says
Thank you for the information! I will probably order it tomorrow and try and avoid making any of the delicious dairy recipes when it comes… though that will be hard. :O)
Thanks for compiling your recipes and helpful hints into a book. So much work, but I know so many of us will be blessed by it. I do not have internet at home, so I really love having cookbooks right in front of me and not trying to view them on my phone and using up all my phone data.
Thanks for your quick reply!
Adeana
Devon says
Are they all THM recipes?
Thanks!
Devon

I can’t wait. Been following her for a long time. Can’t wait to see the recipes.
Barbara says
I have ordered 2 one for my sister and one for me. Excited to get it
Dena says
I have had mine preordered for awhile now and can’t wait to get it!!
Angela Grice says
My cookbook is ordered and I’m SUPER EXCITED for it to arrive
Michelle says
I like the fact that there are so many photos since I find I am more inclined to make a recipe that has one. And of course your photography is always amazing.
Gary and Juanice Willinghan says
We do low carb. Do the recipes in your book include the carb counts?
Briana Thomas says
While the book does include a lot of low-carb recipes, I have not included nutritional information.
Mary says
love to see all the categories and the way youve made a recipe easy to find….that is my biggest complaint about the thm cookbook…and love the coupon for the cd…for years Ive wanted to hear Ladaute ‘live’ but being from the south(GA) it didn’t happen til this summer in Lewisburg….great meeting you!
Briana Thomas says
You too, Mary! I’m so excited for the CD’s release! Pretty much as excited about that as about the cookbook release. 😉
Bonnie Richmond says
I can’t wait to get it! I’m also excited about the spiral binding, and just how it looks. SO exciting!
Melanie says
I am so looking forward to when I am able to order your book Briana! I just have a question………I live in New Zealand and I am wondering if you have any idea how much the postage might be? And I was wondering if Book Depository will be supplying it too as they have free postage worldwide?
Thanks.
Briana Thomas says
Hi Melanie! International shipping will be opening up next Monday, hopefully. I’m afraid I don’t know the costs for all the different countries yet. I’ve never heard of Book Depository, but I just checked them out and sent them an email trying to find out more details. If they’re able to offer free shipping worldwide, they may need a higher distributor discount than I’m able to give as a self-publisher, but we’ll see. Thanks for the suggestion!
Katie says
I’m really looking forward to this cookbook!! Your THM-friendly recipes are so good…and I like the variety. My kids can’t get enough of your cheesecake – they beg for it!
Angela says
It looks wonderful Briana! Can’t wait for it to arrive!!
Emily says
So very excited. Your recipes were how I got my husband on board with THM. Thanks for sharing this labor of love with all of us.
Hosanna Miller says

Karen Ward says
Pre-ordered a couple weeks ago, and now, patiently waiting!!! 😀
Stephanie says
I’m even more excited!! The pictures are amazing and I love love that’s it’s spiral bound! Thank you !
Rachel says
Briana I am beyond excited about your cookbook! When I started THM I felt like I was giving up my family’s food heritage because my family religious background is in a denomination very similar to Mennonite. Then I discovered your blog and I felt like I was “home.” Thank you for all your work on trimmifying the recipes I grew up loving.
Briana Thomas says
Thank you, Rachel. <3 So glad you enjoy the blog!
Linda Anderson says
I can’t wait for it to come out. This is my favorite blog post for recipes. Brianna is a girl after my own heart in her cooking.
