Bri’s Basic Spice Rub

THM:FP - all the herbs in this spice rub are, of course, in their dried state

Ingredients
  • 3 T garlic salt
  • 3 T parsley flakes
  • 3 T powdered dehydrated tomato pieces*
  • 2 T cilantro
  • 2 T dried minced onion
  • 4 tsp. dill weed
  • 2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. lemon pepper
Instructions
  1. Mix together well and use to season meats, eggs – basically anything! This yields about 1 cup of seasoning rub, which will season quite a lot of stuff. Store it in a sealed bag or container in your pantry.
Notes
*Tomato powder. I had some dehydrated tomatoes on hand that we had made from garden tomatoes in our dehydrator a year or two ago, so I ground them up in a coffee grinder to make my tomato powder. Here's a link to a similar-looking product from Amazon. The tomato powder adds a great flavor, and I do not recommend leaving it out.
This spice rub is a Fuel Pull for Trim Healthy Mamas and can be used in any fuel setting. Tomatoes are something you want to go sort of easy on in an S setting, but the amount used in this rub comes out to a fraction of a teaspoon of tomato powder per serving, so that's not a concern.
