Description
This Hot Chocolate Nog is a THM Fuel Pull that makes a great filling snack or lunch if you’re trying to really double down on weight loss…or if you’re saving up your calories for a Christmas party later in the day. XD
Skip the half and half for a dairy free version. The xanthan gum (you could also use glucomannan) is a thickener that really helps keep you full. I thought this amount made for a nice thickness and mouthfeel, but if you want it really thick you can go for 1/2 a teaspoon instead!
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tablespoons half and half for extra creaminess (optional)
- 3 tablespoons collagen
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon THM Super Sweet Blend
- 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
- Dash of vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
Heat the water, almond milk, and optional half and half in a large Pyrex glass measuring cup or a widemouth quart mason jar in the microwave. (I do 3 minutes.)
Add the rest of the ingredients to the hot liquid and blend carefully with an immersion blender. The operative word is CAREFULLY, on a low speed, to avoid splashing hot liquid. Blend until the hot chocolate thickens a bit. Taste and add more sweetener if desired. Enjoy!
