As a “thank you” for 15,000 likes on my Facebook page (which you can see here), I’m giving away an ice cream maker like mine! Scroll down to the bottom of this page to enter.
This ice cream maker, the Cuisinart ICE-21 1.5 qt. model, is an automatic countertop ice cream maker. It comes with an aluminum canister (which you can see in the picture above) that you keep in your freezer. The frozen canister works to freeze the ice cream while the machine churns – no rock salt and ice required! We’ve had our ice cream maker for quite awhile now and it still works great!
A few notes about ice cream making:
- Always turn the machine on to start churning before pouring the ice cream mixture into the machine. If you don’t, the ice cream will instantly start freezing to the sides of the ice cream maker and the blades won’t be able to churn.
- I add a tablespoon of vegetable glycerin to all my ice cream recipes for several reasons: 1) it helps provide a creamy texture, 2) it keeps the ice cream from sticking to the sides of the frozen canister so much, and 3) when leftovers (smirk) are frozen then thawed to an eatable state (3 hours in the fridge to let it thaw slowly works great), the vegetable glycerin makes it scoop-able instead of icy. I buy my vegetable glycerin here on Amazon, but you can find it at Whole Foods and some other stores in the skincare/healthcare section. I know that NOW brand is food grade.
Just as I have become known for my Trim Healthy Mama-friendly ice cream recipes, I have also become known for my facial expressions (especially over in the THM Blogger Test Kitchen (Unofficial) Facebook group…), so I thought I would grace this post with a few in celebration of 15K LIKES! Woohoo!
Pardon the strange color cast in these photos. The day my mom decided to paint the kitchen red…
Speaking of ice cream, you can click here to see my ice cream recipe picture index! If you don’t have an ice cream maker, there are some single-serve recipe options that can be made with a blender, and most of the ice cream recipes have suggestions in their Notes sections about how to make them without an ice cream maker (although an ice cream maker does give a better texture).
You can click here to see the ice cream maker model that I am giving away. Entries must be made through the Rafflecopter giveaway widget below. Follow the instructions to earn entries. If you have trouble entering on mobile, try a computer (Rafflecopter can be finicky with mobile sometimes). The giveaway will end Monday, May 30th, 2016, at midnight EST. The winner will be contacted via email and must respond within 48 hours to claim prize. I will have Amazon ship the ice cream maker directly to you. If you live outside the USA and shipping costs are outrageous, I will just email you a $50 Amazon gift card. Thanks for participating!
Hi, Brianna! Is this what you would still recommend? . . . What about for a large family???
Yes, I still use and love mine! I guess it just depends how much ice cream you need for your family. You may want to invest in a larger one (I think Cuisinart has a larger model?) or get an extra freezer bowl so you can make 2 batches back to back.
I just broke the paddle for my manual Donvier ice cream maker- so sad. I let it sit too long without stirring. Sigh. Looks like I’ll be buying this one that you recommend (secretly not unhappy about this prospect but don’t tell my husband!). Your recipes are better than Halo Top- perhaps not as easy as spending $4 and opening the lid, spoon in hand, but at least I can eat all I want and still be on plan!
Aw, that’s a bummer (but I know you’ll like the automatic one MUCH better…don’t tell your husband I said that…haha). So glad you enjoy the recipes!
I love cookbooks! I especially love pictures of the food. I tend to make those more than those without pics.
My favorite feature are special diet recipes
Simple casserole ideas that are suitable for children…
I LOVE all kinds of recipes – BUT especially those that have pictures. I like to see what a new recipe is supposed to look like after making it for the first time.
I am excited to have found your blog. Love your recipes. I can’t wait for the cookbook to come out.
I love cookbooks that are spiral bound
I love cookbooks with pictures! Thanks for a great giveaway!
My favorite cookbook requirement is a big picture for every recipe, on the same page (or 2 pg spread) as the recipe.
I love when a cookbook has a spiral binding, the spiral bindings such that the book can be folded in half, if you know what I mean. Also, recipes with good pictures catch my attention first! And a good index is always very helpful. 🙂
The most important part of a cookbook to me is the index. If the index is not organized, I rarely use the cookbook. Pictures are nice, but not a must for every recipe. If there are pictures, they need to be high quality. I would love to win the ice cream maker!!!
I like cookbooks with lots of pictures. And a thorough index. It’s nice to be able to search by ingredient, as well as title.
Love your recipes
Simple recipes and pictures!
Step by step pictures are a must for me.
Thank you so much for hosting this giveaway! ? My favorite cookbook feature is a really detailed index, and after that, a lot of pictures! Sometimes I have no idea whether what I made is actually supposed to look like it does or not!
love a simple index and great pictures to accompany recipes.
An ice cream maker would be handy!
Pictures!!!
Congratulations! Thanks for so many wonderful recipes….:) 🙂 🙂 🙂
I love cookbooks where recipes can be adapted to smaller family. I most times cook for two.
Briana you are a blessing to so many, thank you! I love your blog and recipes.
Being able to find things quickly is important. So a good index as well as table of contents.
I am actually in the market for an icecream maker! My husband was shocked to hear there were THM recipes for icecream ?
Cookbook priorities: index & good pix!
I’ve been dreaming of owning a little ice-cream maker…and I can’t seem to get enough ice-cream with this current pregnancy, so…winning this ice-cream maker would be perfect on more than one front! Thanks for your blog, Briana! I find it inspiring! 🙂
It would be great if you had lots of gluten free ideas in your cookbook!
Most of my recipes are gluten free, so there should be plenty to choose from!
Crossing my fingers to win this ice cream maker. If I do, my first recipe will definitely be the famous Mock Moosetracks!! 😀
Oh my goodness! Congratulations Briana! Good job on all the hard work! 🙂
For a THM cookbook I think it would great to have the normal sections, like oven dishes, stovetop, etc but within the sections have the recipes grouped by S, E, or FP Just my two cents’ worth.
Drinks & Smoothies are my favorite part!
Congratulations! It’s summer and I’m ready to make some ice cream.
My favorite part of a cookbook is when they have different servings – single ,large family ,or four servings. I have a fmily of 10 so that option is great.
Congrats on the likes! In a cookbook I would like to see—budget recipes not requiring major amounts of new ingredients. Have them sorted by FP, S, etc.
I love pictures of food in cookbooks because I eat with my eyes first. I also look for approachable, easy to find, nutritious ingredients. Thank you!
Thank you for the opportunity to win the ice cream maker!! As I said in your Facebook page, I would love to win so I can have an all healthy ice cream day with my friend 🙂 and of course, I will be trying yours! 😉
Best cookbook features?… Tested recipes, that work and are not too difficult (and are yummy!)… An extensive index… Beautiful, inspiring photos… <3
So exciting! I’d love to be able to make all your recipes better than I can now!
OMGosh!!! This would be so amazing to win! I just saved one to my Amazon wish list today!! I am getting ready to make one of your recipes, but will be using ice cube trays. Gotta do whatcha gotta do!
Congrats on the 15,000 likes! I can’t wait to try your ice cream!
The best cookbooks for me have lots of pictures and recipes with 5 or less ingredients!
I like pictures in the cookbook. I also like the notes on variations.
A good index! Alphabetically by title, and also by main ingredient. Must have!
My favorite features…beautiful pictures (This is a must! And I know your pictures will be beautiful!) and a layout that makes sense and is easy to follow. Also I like to read little comments about the health benefits of the food in the recipe, serving suggestions etc…
congrats . Hope I win to make yummy ice cream this summer for me and my girls
Picture, organization, index where it is easy to locate recipes, and clear instructions. I would say the new THM cookbook is well put together. I like how it has the list of recipes in front of each section, I think the index is well put together, the instruction are clear for each of the recipes, and I like how there are some options for alterations to the recipes. Not every recipe needs a photo because that would over kill and make the cookbook much larger than it needs to be, but some photos are nice.
Awesome!!! I would love one! 🙂 I am so grateful for you recipes!
An index that makes it easy to find something!
Thanks for having the giveaway!
As for cook books – I like pictures but a good index system is helpful – recipe index and also it’s really nice if there’s an ingredient index (takes the primary ingredient list and gives the recipe that it goes in).
Best feature of any cookbook is clear instructions and plenty of photos!
My favorite features would be the index divided by category, and also lots of pictures, I tend to skip recipes without pictures. I like to know how the recipe is supposed to look like.
Love your ice cream recipes. I use them all the time.
My favourite part of a cookbook is probably photos of the food!… and probably a recipe index or tabs
Congratulations on all the likes…you go girl! I enjoy your posts. I could use an icecream maker…I guess who couldn’t. Thanks for the great giveaway.
I like a detailed table of contents in my cookbooks. Adding E, S or FP would be very helpful next to the recipe title. Or color codes like the THM cookbook. I want to be able to find an idea for the type of meal I’m wanting to plan.
What fun to see your 15,000 likes pictures! Congratulations. Also, a nice treat is the ice cream maker give away. Thank you for the opportunity to win one. I have ordered two of your books. Well, my husband accidentally ruined the first one and I had just gotten it and had barley gotten to read it. He felt so bad he ordered me another one right away. I love the color coded sections and the spiral binding. Pages lay flat. Clever index pages too. Love the photos. -Donna
Hi Donna! It sounds like you actually bought Margaret Raber’s cookbook, “Food For Life”. I’m glad you like it! Mine will be released this fall.
My favorite is the detail. I am very “Type A” and must have numbers, bullets, side notes, etc.
I’m glad I’m not the only one!
Dessert section 🙂 and PHOTOS – I LOVE looking at completed recipes!
Best feature of a cookbook is usability! Not difficult to find things. Having an index by main ingredient
Love your ice cream love!
I like when a cookbook includes the nutritional info so I know what I’m eating!
Thanks for all the time you spend in the kitchen (so I don’t have to) developing your recipes! I have a Pinterest board dedicated to your recipes so I can find them easily. My favorite feature of a cookbook is —– the RECIPES !!!
My favorite thing in a new cookbook is seeing the easier recipes with fewer ingredients. I usually migrate to those first!
First of all a recipe book needs large easy to read print! I also like clear directions so I know if my cake, casserole etc is ok or a flop:(.
Would love to win! Thank you!
Excited for your cookbook! I am new to THM but so far I am liking what I’m eating 🙂 I like cookbooks that have categories… Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Drinks… and It’s really cook in the THM book that has all the recipes for FP the title is in green… would be neat to have the S, E and ect… in different colors 🙂 .
I really like having an organized index. It helps greatly to find the recipe you want (until you know exactly where your favorites are).
organized & well indexed!
I love cookbooks that share helpful tips and insights about recipes! Congrats on the likes! I love all of your recipes!
Congrats on your success!! I really enjoy pics with descriptions in cookbooks. I can’t wait for yours!
My favourite feature of a cookbook are the PICTURES! That makes all the difference for me!
Congrats on the 15000! My ice cream maker broke right before my move so this would be great!
I love when cookbooks use simple, whole foods with great seasonings to make meals that taste fabulous, without much fuss and bother.
Thank you for what you do. In a cookbook, I like variety and also recipes that work with my Drive Thru Sue and Farm Fresh Tess tendencies. Weird combo, I know. Basically, I want healthy food, fast without a lot of fuss. Also, budget friendly is great.
I love having pictures!
My favorite part of the cookbook are the pictures and the serving sizes.
I find it helpful to have the nutritional information provided for recipes. Many times, that is what determines whether I make it or not.
I appreciate an index that is easy to use so I can find recipes quickly. If recipes are categorized by a special name such as Alan’s Favorite Cornbread, sometimes it is hard to find because you have to remember that ‘name’ to find the recipe.
I look a cookbook with pictures. And thanks for a chance to win a ice cream maker!
Full of colorful pictures!
Spiral binding is awesome
Thank you for ALL your lovely recipes… very helpful and tasty!!
I love the photos and the index.
I’m always glad to find new, well-organized sources for THM recipes!
wud luv to win this!
Congrats on 15,000! That’s awesome! I really really hope to win your ice cream maker!
My favorite part of a cookbook is a good index in the back, and allot of pictures. It’s so much more likely that I am going to make a recipe if there is a picture to show me what it should look like.
would love to win that I love Ice cream 🙂
I like a really good index so that I can find recipes by main ingredient or type of food
I’ve already told you this on Facebook, but my favorite feature about a cookbook is an e-version! No dribbled on or crinkly pages! I can also type in a certain food and it’ll find every mention of it in the book. So handy!
I’ll definitely be releasing an ebook as well. 🙂
I really love your blog! Your posts are edifying to body and mind, and so much fun!
I love ice cream too! Love the recipes!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is when they say which recipes are the most simple, take the least time to make, etc!
I love photos in a cookbook! I will choose to try a recipe with a picture faster than one without!
Pictures! I love to see how a recipe is supposed to turn out.
I love your recipes and appreciate all the hard work that goes into creating them! Excited to see the finished cookbook.
pictures and specific brands used would be helpful
I like a cookbook with a good index. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love your blog! You are one of my go-to blogs for THM recipes! Thanks for the chance to win an ice cream maker – I have been wanting to buy one for a long time, so I was pretty excited when I saw this chance to win one!
favorite feature – well categorized so I can find what I am looking for. I love THM recipe books!
I love pictures in cookbooks to help know I am on track.
My favorite part of a cook book is the dessert section!
My favorite part of a cookbook is the index… but if there was a way to categorize by Meal and Fuel type, that’d be great, too. (Ex. “S” Breakfast, “E” Breakfast, “FP” Breakfast, etc.)
One thing I wish the THM cookbook did was include nutrition info so that I knew how many servings I could have, or if I could have a small “s” something with my “e” recipe. For instance. I made the BAM cake. I wanted some nuts on the side as well, but I didn’t know if I would go over my limit of fats allowed in an e meal/snack.
I like to see a picture or two with each recipe and the nutritional info posted! ?
I agree with many of the other posts regarding a well thought out index. I also think that spiral bound or some other binding that enables you to open the book and easily stay on your page is greatly appreciated!
Great tasting recipes is my favorite cookbook feature. I’d also like the recipes to be THM labeled. Beautiful pictures are great but not necessary.
Thanks for such great giveaways!
My favorite features in cookbooks are the pictures that go with the recipes. Pictures help me understand what the food should look like.
A good index with categories of E, S, FP. I love that most of your recipes are easy on a budget! Thank you !!
i like THM info in a cookbook 🙂
Enjoy your page.
Thank you for doing a Giveaway.
Preparation times are always very helpful with new recipes! I would love some ideas for freezer meals too!
Congratulations on the 15,00 FB followers! My favorite cookbook has great step by step instructions of the recipe(with pics here and there) and is spiral bound
Thanks for the chance to win Brianna!
This is awesome! I was just looking into buying an icecream maker the other day after looking at one of your recipes 😀
Love pictures in cookbooks! 🙁
Pick me! Pick me!
Great recipes! I like when a cookbook includes the serving sizes with the recipes. Saves me from guessing if there will be enough for my guests.
I love ice cream! Having an ice cream maker would be awesome to make all your wonderful THM recipes.?
My favorite features in a cookbook are: a good index, separated by fuel types (your blog is well organized). Not big on funny recipe names, then I can’t remember what it’s called & sometimes impossible to find in index. Pictures are always a fun feature & sometimes a “selling point” on making that recipe. I like the suggestions/ideas on what to add for rest of meal. Example: meat recipe, then notes beside pair it with same fuel ideas to finish out the menu.
Congrats on the 15,000 likes! I would so like your page if I had Facebook.
With THM cookbooks, I love it when it has the E, S, FP categories, and how one ingredient can change the category.
I also think that it is great to add notes for ingredients (like specialty ingredients) that can be substituted for other things.
Would absolutely love to win, I live in a 80-110 F. year round….ice cream is the best solution.
Thanks for the chance to win an ice cream maker! I would have to say when I look for a cookbook… I look for something that is well organized. A nice index helps so much! (And a good cheesecake recipe!)
Oh, I forgot! The pictures are usually most important for me- if the pictures of the food aren’t good, I won’t try to make it.
Our family eats ice cream every.single.day. We love ice cream! Pick us!
How wonderful!
i love cookbooks with binders so that they are easy to flip through!
I’ve been dying to try out some ice cream recipes!
My favorite feature in any cookbook are the pictures to go with the recipes.
Congrats on 15K! I need a cookbook with pictures and simple directions/ingredients. 🙂
My favorite part of a cookbook is the pictures. Sure, it can be costly and time consuming to photograph every meal and dish in the book. But as a visual learner, I like knowing what the food is SUPPOSED to look like so I have something to aim for. Also, it’s usually the delicious photos that make me want to make something in the first place. 🙂
Thanks for the giveaway!! My favorite thing about cookbooks are having pictures of the recipes. Sometimes you just need to see the yumminess to motivate you to make it 😉
I love it when a cookbook adds the nutritional information about a recipe. Also, what I LOVE about the new THM recipe book is it tells you what fuel it is which makes it so easy to pair things together.
I’m gonna try to order some glucomannan today so I can make some ice cream! Thanks for all the great recipes. I just started THM.
I would love to see sections according to fuel type.
I think cookbooks that have pictures of the food (I’m very visual so it helps me to look at a picture of the final product to make sure I’m doing it right?) are very helpful! I’d also love some quick single serve meals. Lots of yummy dessert creations wouldn’t be half bad either. ? Thanks for all you do, Briana! Your recipes are awesome and I am so excited for your cookbook to come out! ?
A cookbook that stays open easily, nutritional information, and thm style? ☺
I would love to win this! My daughter and I are doing THM and would love to add ice cream to our dessert menu. 🙂
I enjoy your posts. thank you for the giveaway
My favorite feature is the pictures of the finished meal 🙂
Briana,
Thank you for your blog. I’ve used many of your recipes in the 2 years or so that I’ve been doing THM. You’re a very talented young woman. My favorite feature for a THM cookbook would be precise listing of ingredients and directions. Don’t just list a lot of ingredients “to taste.” List the amounts that YOU like. I’ll try that amount and then tweak in the future if need be.
Congratulations! I love your recipes and I’m so thankful for you sharing all of your creativity with us. My favorite section of a cookbook is a thorough index!
Such an awesome giveaway! And I love your recipes. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Easy and delicious, usually, but lately easy and out of the ordinary (my ordinary which might be different than other people’s).
I love every aspect of a cook book…I read them like a novel!
Love your site!!!! I would love to win this amazing give
away !!!
Spiral bound can be super helpful. Great pictures are a must (but I’m positive you’ll do that anyway, you take great pictures). Indexes are also a must!
Congratulations! I would LOVE to win this so I could make some of your ice cream recipes!
Glad to participate in your offer! Congrats on your success.
I love pictures in a cookbook!
Clear easy to find recipes, clear listing of all ingredients….in other words, quick easy access to all recipes. 🙂
Thanks for doing this! And congrats! I like pictures to see what a recipe is supposed to resemble when complete. And also organized in sections so they are easy to find.
looking forward to the cookbook!
Cookbooks likes are: spiral bound, pictures, good index, not-complicated, good balance between desserts, and main meal recipes.
I love your recipes, Briana. Can’t wait to buy your cookbook.
Yay!
The pages have to smell right?
Like paper and not like plastic.
And the photos have to be plentiful.
So awesome of you to do this give away! I have wanted a Cuisinart counter top machine F.O.R.E.V.E.R. !! We LOOOVVVEEE us some ice cream in our house and now that I know how to make it low carb and healthier, this summer is gonna be awesome for ice cream making. The only thing is, without an ice cream maker, I have to do it in the freezer.
I love pictures in a cookbook! And suggestions for what to fix along with the dish! Love your recipes!
I would love an ice cream maker! I’d love to use it to make your many recipes but especially the chocolate ones!
My favorite feature in a cookbook are clear directions ( for people not raised cooking as much,) and a good index where things are listed by categories such as ingredient type and meal type. Preferably not by the unique name of the recipe. Thanks!
One reason I don’t use the ice cream recipes is because of the hassle of using the old fashioned one we own. If I had one like you are offering here, I know I would use it. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity and for your wonderful recipes!
Spiral bound cookbooks are great!
You have a great blog! I love your enthusiasm, especially for ice cream! Your personality shines in every post.
Congrats on 15k – you earned it. Your food photos are the BEST! Motivation is your strength. Thank you.
I wish recipe books included a picture of each and every recipe.
I like when in a recipe index I can look up a main ingredient (like chicken) and find a list of all recipes containing that ingredient. It saves having to remember a regime’s specific title.
Pictures definitely help and if everything could be categorized by meal type, I would love it! I.e., it would be desserts as a general category but then it would have semi categories (is that the proper way to say it?) like desserts (S), desserts (E), and desserts (FP).
I love your blog! I don’t follow any other food blogs cuz I don’t have a lot of time, but I follow yours and whenever I get around to actually making dessert, I usually use one of your recipies:)
I like simple recipes. Things that are easy to throw together quickly and crock pot recipes.
Pick me! I love your ice cream!
Would love to have a ice cream maker like this, for those hot summer days when my grandkids want ice cream and I don’t want to go off plan to have any. Thank you
A cookbook needs a good index that makes it easy to find the recipe you are looking for.
Congratulations on 15,000 likes 🙂 that is amazing… i would have to say that the most important feature in a cookbook are the PICTURES!! If I can’t see a pic of an amazing appetizing looking dish, I am less likely to make it… I have tried way more recipes in the new thm cookbook than i did in the old cookbook simply because there were pictures to look at to see what my outcome could possibly look like 🙂
I like cookbooks that make things easy to find and recipes easy to follow! I hate when I’m trying to cook or bake something and I have to read the recipe over and over to try and understand something. Only to find out I read it wrong because it wasn’t clear!
Or I have to kick my kids out of the kitchen just so I can focus on how to do something… cooking/baking should be fun and as a home schooler I want to let my kods help as part of there schooling.
Cookbooks? I wish (for THM) that they had multiple indexes – by title, meal type and main ingredient! Makes things so much easier to find!
My favorite feature in a cookbook is when there is a description of the recipe including the recipe’s origin or a story about the recipe.
I look forward to seeing your cookbook. Good luck!
Congrats! Love your recipes!!
I like pictures!!!
Thanks!!
I actually have 2 favorite features…meal labeling (S, E, FP…) and a really good index to find recipes in a hurry!
I love pictures with recipes. I really like knowing that my creation looks like the original! Haha Good luck with your cookbook!! I am sure it will be fabulous!!
I have an ice cream maker in my Amazon cart for summer fun with the kids. I want to get back to making our sweets instead of buying them!
Oh and sweets are what I like to search for or quick dinner ideas!
Good pictures are very important!
Dark, easy to read font is a must for cookbooks, as we are cooking and baking we are glancing at recipes, so easy to read is what I’m always looking for. Also like the ingr. list and the instructions to be a in two different shades of black (not sure if that is proper wording for a writer and blogger ) 🙂 Love your recipes!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is one that uses normal ingredients and then gives other options to tweak recipes.
Love your recipes. I get excited every time I find one I haven’t seen before. I need this ice cream machine! Thank you!
I would like to see a cookbook that has a COMPLETE index. I know that’s asking a lot, but if I have zucchini that I want to use, I would love to be able to find a list of recipes that use zucchini. Not sure if that’s practical or not, but it would be awesome! I often end up just searching on the internet rather than using a cookbook because of this feature.
Oops forgot to read what to post about a cookbook. I like a good, very exhaustive index at the back.
This is so sweet. Happy for you reaching your Likes milestone!
Love your recipes! Congratulations on 15k likes on fb!
I need the ice cream maker because I want to try all your recipes! They look delicious!!
Will be so excited to see your new cookbook! I love the one pot meals a lot.
A cookbook needs clear instructions and a picture. I would love to win this ice cream maker! I love all your recipes and your page is my first go to page when looking for a recipe.
Congrats on 15,000 likes. I am new to THM and love your recipes on Pinterest. Excited to hear you are working on a cookbook too. Ice cream is my weakness, so a healthy way to eat it sounds great.
My favorite thing about a cookbook is the photos, well organized and family friendly.
My favorite feature of a cookbook would be the index being sorted by ingredient or type of meal, incase you don’t have a clue of what the recipe is called.
My favorite part of a cookbook is the savory recipes…I love trying all yours!!!
My favorite feature in a cook book is lots of great pictures – I notice I tend to navigate to those unintentionally and ignore the recipes without pictures, even though they may be just as fabulous!
I love cookbooks with recipes that are not overly complicated! Yummy, nutritious but simple meals for the busy mom. ?
Congratulations, Briana! I love cookbooks! My favorite feauture is pictures of the recipes. I also appreciate a good index. Best wishes to you. Thanks for the chance tobwin the icecream maker.
Thank you for the giveaway!
Great ice cream recipes. Would love to win this ice cream maker. Thank you
My favorite part of a cookbook are pictures! Lots of pictures 🙂
Recipe books in my opinion need appetizing pictures!
Congratulations. If you are going to make a them cookbook, I would love to have a category fp/e/s recipes as well as separated by soups/salads/ appetizers/ sides/ main dishes/ desserts/ baking
One of my favorite gluten-free cookbooks is spiral-bound so it lays completely flat when it is open, regardless of if it’s open to the middle or closer to the front or back. I think all cookbooks should be able to open flat so you don’t have to fight to keep it open while trying to put together a recipe. A spiral-bound cookbook is a fantastic idea!
I would so love to use this ice cream maker! In a cookbook I need colored pictures. I really do appreciated if you have the categories like s, heavy s, e… it helps so much. I can’t wait to see your cookbook. I love your recipes.
Pictures are great in a cookbook! Otherwise I’d rather just look it up online ?
I like a cookbook to be indexed by ingredient. I can’t always remember the name of a recipe, but if I have ground beef, I could easily look and see what recipes I could make.
Thank you! We enjoy so many of your recipes!
A give-a-way!!!! Would love to be able to try ice cream from an actual ice cream maker!! ?
The three most important parts of a cookbook I like are well done pictures, a well laid out index (by fuel category and by meal category) and QUALITY BINDING! So many cook books fall apart after a month or so because of poor binding – it would be great if cookbook was in a binder style book…
Congratulations! I’m looking forward to getting your cookbook when it’s available. I think an index that’s well planned is very important.
Favorite feature in a recipe book would be pictures and also index that makes finding the recipe you want easy.
Love your blog and can’t wait for the cookbook!! 🙂 thanks for all your hard work!
Congrats on all the likes! Well deserved.
Congratulations! An in-depth index would be very helpful!
I always appreciate cookbooks that have a good index, so I can easily find recipes. So, for example, chicken soup is listed under both chicken and soup, not under F for “Fabulous Chicken Soup.”
Congratulations! Thanks for all of your wonderful recipes!!
I like a cookbook that will lie flat as well as has a good index so that I can find a recipe based on a few key words.
Love you recipes and would love to have an ice cream maker!!
I want to try ice cream….favorite dessert! Definitely pics, tabs for the sections.
I love pictures of the finished food as well as the cookbook being personal to the author. I love learning about the person behind the recipes. Thank you for sharing all your amazing food creations with us.
I enjoy pictures and descriptions of taste and textures in cookbooks.
I like there to be substitutions for ingredients listed!
I am so excited for your book!.. Cant wait! ..Congrants on the 15K!…yay!!!
Favorite part of a cookbook – Ingredients that are listed in the order they are used and pictures.
My favorite features in a cookbook are great pictures and a clear, comprehensive index.
What an exciting give away! Thanks for the opportunity! If I don’t win this it will go on my birthday wish list! I’ve been drooling over your ice cream recipes for a while.
Some of my favorite features are definitely the pictures and an alphabetical index.
My favorite feature of a cookbook is nice pictures. I love a picture for every recipe!
Pictures most definitely and also having things I order and easy to locate. Like all the drinks together, all desserts together etc
Lots of pictures!!!
I love pictures in cookbooks. I am a very visual person so seeing what I am making makes all the difference. I would also love them to be organized by meal types and tell me S or E.
My favorite feature of a cookbook is lots of colorful pictures! Even a small picture next to a recipe is better than no picture. 🙂
I also appreciate an index that has all the recipes put in alphabetical order. Some of the THM friendly cookbooks I have have them categorized and then alphabetized, and I’m not a fan of that!
My favorite part of the cookbook will be when it is completed, purchased and in my hands
I really enjoy cook books that have photos of the food. I like to look at the picture and say oooh that looks good…I want to make that. Also I like to know how my food is supposed to turn out.
Congrats on 15k! How exciting for you! I love that you’re taking the time to give back as there are a lot of those out there that wouldn’t. Thank you!
Congratulations on your success. Keep up to great work.
What an awesome giveaway!!!! Thanks Briana!
Congratulations on reaching 15,000 likes. I really enjoy your recipes. The lemon ones are my favorites! I am looking forward to your cookbook!
I love beautiful photos and recipes geared toward large families.
So excited about the ice cream machine! What a great giveaway!
What a fun summer give away!
I like a good index organized by recipe name and one by ingredient. I love your baking blend!
Spiral bound, pictures, properly categorized recipes with an easy find index.
Love Briana’s recipes!!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is when there are suggestions of what goes with what meals. I’m not very good at deciding that and love suggestions on what to serve with what recipes.
A great index!!
Congrats on 15,000!! I’d say my top cookbook features are pictures and a well-organized index.
My favorite part of a cookbook are the pictures. They help me know what I think I would like to eat, without reading everything. It makes it easier for me to pick things out.
I love the wonerful things that I can eat on THM
I love pictures in a cookbook, but also love the recipes organized by type (S, E, FP)
My favorite part of a cookbook would have to be the pictures or a nice, organized layout. Having a visual reference is so helpful to me and I love being able to quickly navigate a cookbook so I can get the food cooked and in my belly!
This is so fun! Thanks for the opportunity to possibly own an ice cream maker! 🙂 I’d have to say that my favorite feature of cookbooks would be the pictures. I am such a visual person that I am more inclined to make a recipe if I can see what the end result “should” look like! Excited to see your finished cookbook when it’s all said and done. I will definitely be picking up a copy! Blessings!
Please make the index easier to use than the THM cookbook!!!!
I echo the comment about pictures in the cookbook! And I really appreciate measurements for each ingredient, especially the first time I make something! 😛 My sister can just throw in some of this and some of that, but not me! I like to know exactly!
Hi! It’s so inspiring to look at a cookbook with beautiful photography!
Congrats to you.
I love great pictures in recipe books!
I’d love lots of pictures and a peak into your kitchen….pantry staples, and where you buy them.
Thanks for the chance to win Brianna! My favorite feature on a cookbook is beautiful full color photographs, the more the better!
I like cookbooks that stay open flat so I can easily keep track of my place while cooking.
What I would love in a cookbook is that all the recipes are THMfied and ready to use!! I am so looking forward to your cookbook coming out. I already told my children they could get it for me for my birthday!! : )
My favorite feature of a cookbook is the index categorized by ingredients. I may not remember the name of a recipe, but I will remember the main ingredient. Congratulations on your accomplishments! I love your recipes!
Love all your recipes and the pictures!
LOVE your work! Thank you for all you do.
Pictures and which category of THM it is
I love pictures in cookbooks!! It Leo’s me know what the end result should look like!!
I like clear, easy to follow directions.
I love all your recipes! Can’t wait to see your cookbook!
Pictures and a great index! Great giveaway, thank you!
Pictures inspire me in cookbooks.
I am so excited to have found this page and blog!
I would love to see a section for teen THMers. Recipes they would love to cook.
I’d love to win your ice cream maker!! We enjoy many of your recipes!
Can’t wait for your cookbook. Thanks for using your talents. God’s bless.
Would love this! Love when there are pictures with recipes
I’m new to THM but I’ve been following you on Pinterest and Facebook and I am SO excited that you’re publishing a cookbook! Some of my favorite recipes are your ice creams! I am an ice creamaholic, it’s my weakness so an ice cream maker would be SO helpful on this THM journey. 🙂 I think it would be wonderful if all the recipes in your cookbook could be divided up into the different meal categories: S, E, FP, etc.
Congrats! I love pictures in recipe books, along with a detailed index.
I love your blog! I check it several times a week. I love cook books with lots of pics, and with great categories. Makes it easier to find recipes that you’ve mentally tagged when they book is organized with categories.
WTG! Briana! A big Hip, hip, hooray for you and your blog!
k
I agree with everyone that pictures are essential, but I also appreciate spiral binding or even better would be a Betty Crocker type cookbook with the hardback cover & big binder rings inside.
I like a good index in a cookbook.
I like your baking blend recipe been using it for months
Pictures and index by main ingredient or meal type. Congrats on 15,000 likes!
Congrats! I like pictures, and not just the end product. It’s nice to see a dough’s consistency before it’s baked, etc.
I would have to say my favorite feature are the pictures. The title can sound good but usually the picture sells it for me. You have great pictures with your recipes so I don’t think you’ll have a problem with that.
I love pictures and a thorough index 🙂
I am super excited for your cookbook!!! Bring it!!! WhewHoooooo!!!?
In a cookbook I love great pictures and super simple directions. (In THM recipes I like for the fuel to be clearly marked) Thanks for the great giveaway Brianna, and congrats on 15,000 followers! =)
~ Mara
and my favorite part of a cookbook is the pictures; also, finding recipes that don’t have a super-long list of ingredients. the less complicated, the more likely i am to make it. and for some reason, desserts are my favorite!!
congratulations on 15,000 likes! i so enjoy reading your blog and trying all your yummy recipes. i would certainly love to win the ice cream maker. i’ve been watching for one for quite a while now, hoping to find it on sale, low enough to fit in my budget. winning it would be even better!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is pictures! Thank you so much for doing this giveaway, my husband broke my ice cream maker and I haven’t had money to buy another one!
I like main ingredient groups in a cookbook, I can cook what I have in the freezer.
Congrats on 15K!! YAY! Thanks for this chance to win!
So ready to just have your recipes am in one place
I miss ice cream. And my kids love ice cream and I’d love to make them healthy ice cream!
Congrats on 15,000 likes! I am excitedly waiting for your cookbook to be released!! My favorite part of any cookbook is the pictures and you, my dear, do a superb job with your photography!!
My favorite thing about cookbooks are the pictures – I need to know what the finished product should look like! I also really appreciate the ingredients being in step-by-step order.
I love your recipes and I especially love your ice cream ones but don’t have an ice cream maker so I’m super excited about this contest!!!!! I love indexes if they are super detailed. Also in a big fan of Pioneer Woman’s’a cookbook because of her directions-they are so easy to understand and having the photos for each step makes it almost like a YouTube video that you can fast forward to the parts you need.
By the way congrats! You have been doing good work! I totally enjoy looking at your website! Thanks for all your hard work!!!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is definitely pictures! If I can have a picture for every recipe, I’m happy!! I’m totally visual with food and seeing what it looks like lets me “shop” for the right recipe.
The index is tops for me.
Thanks for the chance to win! I think cookbooks must be spiral bound and have a detailed index so that recipes can be quickly found.
Thanks for the giveaway, Briana! I love cookbooks that have photos of most every recipe AND there is no substitute for a WELL INDEXED cookbook! Looking forward to your cookbook!
Thank you for this give away. The kids and I would love an icecream maker so that we can try your yummy recipes this summer.
My favorite features In a cookbook would be a well organized index and a spiral binding.
cookbooks with pictures…like the Pioneer womans…:-)
I love coil bound cookbooks as well as a great index and searchable topics in the back. Also.great pictures!
My favorite feature . . . Healthy new inspirations to get busy in the kitchen with 🙂
Ice cream!
My favorite part is the pictures, helps me compare how good mine looks to the picture. Love your recipes.
One of my favorite things about a cookbook is pictures! But I also really like reading peoples personal stories as to how they came up with the recipe and how it has helped them. Thank you so much for doing a cookbook! I will look forward to it coming out!!!
My fav feature of a cookbook is a really thorough index.
A thm friendly cookbook with recipes that are intended E, S, FP and then organized into categories would be outstanding!
My favorite feature is an index by title AND by main ingredient.
I like when the recipe index also lists recipes under a main ingredient, ie. chicken, beef, beans, etc. I find it difficult to find a recipe when I can’t remember the name.
It’s getting hot here in Phoenix! Ice cream weather for the next 6 months. Or 12.
I love having lots of pictures in a cookbook.:) Thank you for French Toast in a Bowl! I finally tried it a week ago and have had it every morning since.:)
Congratulations on 15K 🙂 My favorite feature of the new cookbook is all the variety and also pictures!!! Good Luck to ME!!!
Thank you for sharing your talent for great, healthy cooking.
Hey, congrats on becoming the THM world’s most loved blogger;) I for one ALWAYS enjoy your blog post and recipes! I love to cook, and I really love ice cream, so bring on a cookbook, girl!! With loads of pictures and good instructions.
I love your blog. When I get a craving for something, I always head to your blog first for sweets. Your recipes Rock!!!
A good index with tabbed sections and OH pictures!!! I need pictures! 🙂 Can’t wait for your cookbook to come out!
LOVE all you do! Thank you for using your talent to help others! I love how the cookbook is categorized!!
What an AWESOME give away!!!!! Love your recipes! Keep ’em coming!
Great giveaway. Thanks!
Please help me overcome my addiction to DQ blizzards. I have been staying away from them, but it is VERY difficult!
I have 3 mock Blizzard recipes here: https://www.briana-thomas.com/indexes/complete-pictorial-recipe-index/drinks/ 🙂
Thank you Briana!
Love your blog!! So many fun and healthy recipes… thank you! 🙂
I’m looking forward to all the recipe’s!! But more snack ideas sure would be nice.
I would love to win the ice cream maker. I’ve always wanted one but could never afford to get one. You’re ice cream recipes look amazing. I’d love to try them all out.
so excited to be included in a drawing for an ice cream machine….yum yum. Thanks so much
Lots of great pictures and really easy to find recipes are a must have for me!
I love pictures!!!!!
Thank you so much! I love your recipes! I would say pictures and serving sizes and amounts.
Love so many of your recipes and would be excited to try the ice cream maker
Wow!!! This Giveaway is AMAZING!!! Thanks Briana! I think that the most important things on a cookbook are photos. Oh! And congratulations on that 15k!
One of my favorite features of cookbooks is the index! I like being able to look items up by title, or by a main ingredient! Secondly, I also like it when there are tips: such as you can make this and pair it with….for a well rounded meal or when substitution or modification ideas are included.
I would like to see a feature where the Fuels are separated. One whole section would consist of meals and desserts that are strictly E’s, S’s, Fp’s… etc. Personally I think that would make things much easier. Need an E meal, turn to that section… need an FP dessert turn to that section.
Thanks for the giveaway…as well as all the THM recipes!
Pictures in a cookbook are the best!! Can’t wait to see it!
Thank you and congratulations! I really like photos and I like that things cam be made mostly without special ingredients and still work and taste great.
nice !! Thanku !
Congrats! I love a book that lays flat and has a good index and table of contents
I like a clear index and also a page of useful substitution ingredients etc.
I like a cookbook to have a good index in the back. You know, one where you can look up an ingredient and see what recipes it’s used in?
I would say that pictures are super important. I hardly ever make a new recipe without seeing it first anymore.
I love a good index and lots of pictures. Visuals are valuable.
I would like a cookbook that had a substitutions section in it, for when I don’t have an ingredient. Also, useful recipes that get me to eat more veggies..maybe salad ideas and dressings. Tips on sticking to the diet. Thank you! I don’t have an ice cream maker, so it would be neat to win!
First, Woo-hoo! Congratulations on the 15,000 likes. That is so wonderful! Second, what I like most about cookbooks are the pictures, of course, and cookbooks that categorize and give important info. I have to be both gluten-free and dairy-free and I love recipes that tell me up front so I don’t have to look at the recipe to figure it out for myself (a little time-saver). Here’s to 15,000 more! 🙂
I love lots of pictures in a cookbook, and a well organized, easy to use index is crucial.
Yes!! happy for you. I have been considering getting an ice cream maker. Thank you.
please , a two week menu marked S, & E and explain a little the difference of how we used to eat
Strangely enough, I love the table of contents or index of cookbooks…I scan the lists to see what I want to make or what sounds interesting, then flip to those pages!
Thank you for the opportunity! Love your site!
I like pictures in a cookbook and sometimes family anecdotes about a recipe or interesting factoids about food. I also like nutritional information! I enjoy your recipes alot, I’ve only made one so far that I didn’t care for (the breakfast custard) and I think it was mostly my own lack of skill with egg tempering that made it unpalatable! Thank you for helping us THMers along!
Great job on 15k! Cookbook feature? Pictures and a great index. Nothing like searching forever for a recipe >:(
Thanks for a chance to win the ice cream maker! I really enjoy your blog! My favorite part of a cookbook is the index in the back. If it is done well, it helps me find my favorite recipes quickly?
Well indexed recipes with names that describe the dish clearly.
I love a well organized index!
I love the pictures
Oops forgot to say I love pictures in a cookbook!
Love your recipes! Thanks for the opportunity to win and congrats on 15K likes 🙂
I like recipes put in categories but also a good index in the back of the book. May the Lord bless the work of your hands. I know I’m thankful for your talents.
I have recently found your recipes. So excited to try them out!! Love your site! Thanks for your hard work.
What a cool giveaway! I just made my second batch of THM ice cream and I am HOOKED! An ice cream maker would be so much easier than my old blender. 🙂 I also enjoy pictures of recipes as that makes me much more likely to try those recipes first.
I love your blog, BTW! It’s one of my favorites with SO much GOOD STUFF!
What I love about the THM cookbook is how pretty it is! And I love that the recipes are easy enough for anyone to follow. I recently got my in-laws going on THM and she commented that she isn’t a kitchen girl and never has been, but she loves how easy the recipes are to follow. Can’t wait for your cookbook!
favorite feature of a cookbook is def pictures and easy recipes
I love your beautiful pictures with your recipes. It would be nice to have pictures in your new cookbook.
I love a really good index – something that breaks down by food type or ingredient, etc. Pictures are the second most important thing to me in a cookbook. Seeing something delicious gives me that much more desire to try it!
I love having pictures in cookbooks, as well as modifications that are available.
Looking forward to trying some recipes that don’t call for eggs.
In case you didn’t know about this, here’s my index of egg free recipes on my blog. 🙂 https://www.briana-thomas.com/tag/egg-free/
Pictures!! I am much more likely to make a recipe that has a picture.
My favourite part of cookbooks are the food photos!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is the pictures. Congrats on all the likes.
Hoping for the ice cream maker! I’m shopping for one like yours right now! My favorite “help” with a cookbook is a good index. I like to be able to look under chicken or strawberries and see the options I have in the book, as well as a 2nd index with recipe names. Looking forward to your cookbook. I send new THMamas to your pinterest for food ideas!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is the table of contents! I love when the chapters are divided well and everything
Is easy to find!
Pictures are important in cookbooks!
I’m in my kitchen every day…….I cook for me, I cook for my family, I cook for my son on a strict medical diet for epilepsy! he loves new recipes and I would love to win this ice cream maker for him (I know the rest of us would enjoy it too)!
Oh and forgot…..my favorite feature of a cookbook is an index & color photos of food!
I love learning about ice cream!
I like easy to make recipes … most times I don’t plan ahead for desserts. I end up making what looks easiest and yummiest! Thankfully you have many like that!
Pictures! The cookbook must have pictures! ☺️
I am super excited about the possibility of winning an ice cream maker….love, love, love homemade ice cream & it’s one thing I have really missed on THM. Thank you Brianna for your yummy recipes!
Congrats, Briana!!! Keep that way;) I love your recipes! I’m on a THM plan now:) My favorite feature in a cookbook is pictures, good and easy index at the beginning or at the end of a book. Easy products which I see mostly in your blog recipes! God bless you!!!
Pictures of the recipes is a must in my opinion. I am way more drawn to a recipe book if it has pictures.
Awesome giveaway!! Congrats on 15,000~ My favorite feature in a cookbook is the ability to find a recipe in more than one way. Example, by beef recipes, or by some other describing feature of the recipe…does that make sense?!
Like when the index has main ingredients listed, such as, SQUASH then all the recipes that have squash in it listed
Congrats on so many likes!!!! AndWhat an awesome give away.
I have a huge ice cream maker that is so hard to get out and set up for just my husband and me so I never make Ice cream. This would be awesome to have!
Forgot to comment about cookbooks!! I like recipes to have the ingredients listed in order of use, and separated & labeled if there are multiple parts (cake and icing for example)
I Love ice cream! We have a saying in our house that if you’re a Currey, you love ice cream. In fact, my Dad’s parents always had several kinds of ice cream in stock and always had it on Sunday, and of course everytime us grand-kids were over.
Favourite thing in a recipe book? A good index and photos.
Colorful pictures and a really good index! 🙂
Pictures!! Definitely pictures make a cookbook. Also an index. List a recipe more than once – ex – chicken casserole – list it under casseroles and under chicken. Looking forward to getting your cookbook!!!
I love your sweet smile and your amazing recipes! I enjoy your blog, too!!!
My favorite part is the pictures and a very good index. Congratulations!
I love really good recipes with easy ingredients. quick simple and easy
My favorite part of a cookbook is the pictures of the recipes. I wish each recipe would come with the picture! Thanks for all your yummy recipes!
Congrats on the 15,000 likes, thanks for the chance to win the Ice cream maker.
I love the Entrees that have pictures, and also cookbooks that are spiral bound.
I love when cookbooks have pictures….looking forward to seeing your cookbook!
Can’t wait for your cookbook!!! I hope there are plenty of pictures to let me know what it’s actually supposed to look like. I like to know if im doing it right. Congrats on 15,000 likes
I like for Main Course recipes to include serving suggestions. Sometimes I just get in a rut, so it’s nice to have suggestions for side dishes. 🙂
Definitely the pictures !!!
I think I’d really like to see a budget friendly section, with a large family we can use all the help we can to eat healthy at an affordable price.
My grandsons look forward to the times I make I’ve cream and actually want it no matter what season, whether warm weather or cold! I would love to make then some with this machine! Exciting!
My favorite part of a cookbook are the pictures.
If it looks appetizing I will make it first.
The other recipes might be made at a later date.
I like photographs of the recipes and good organization. Laminated pages would be helpful. I inevitably spill on my cookbooks.
I would love to win the ice cream machine! All your recipes look so good!
The best cookbooks are the ones with rings so you can fling the pages around but the book is still sturdy and you don’t have to worry about breaking its back.
My favorite cookbook features are the Index, the Photos and the organization.
Thanks for the opportunity and Congrats on 15,000!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is a good Table of Contents and a good index (or two indexes, one by recipe title and one by recipe ingredients). I’ll add a third thing — no errors (former proofreader, I can’t help myself).
I am totally with you on the “no errors” comment. I can’t stand grammatical/stylistic errors, especially in published material that should’ve been through a strict editing process. I will do my best to ensure that there are no errors.
Love all your recipes!
I’m not really talented at winning these raffles but they are fun to try. I did win some tumblers for finding Hattie’s Needles in a haystack from Reminisce Magazine so I suppose it’s not impossible. I’d love to have one of these ice cream makers. Keep up the good work Briana. Someday I hope to meet you.
Excited to find your ice cream Pinterest board and to try some of your recipes!
My favorite features of a cookbook is being able to find things easily. I usually go through each recipe with a quick glance and make mental notes but then I want to be able to search the index in a variety of ways, for example by fuel type, by main ingredient, and finally by topic, ie, sweet, savory, snack, Mexican, etc.
Pick me! I’m excited about this prize. I LOVED ice cream until WLS and then gave up many many years. Thanks to you I can enjoy ice cream again.
Thanks for the giveaway and congrats! Index, photographs, easy to follow directions with recipes with no special ingredients.
I love to see pictures of recipes.
I like easy clear directions!
I love all your recipes! You’re a truly talented!
Spiral bound cook books are great!
It’s a great time of the year for this giveaway! I love the pics in a cookbook!
Congratulations! I like a Spiral bound book and a section of fast, easy (5 ingredients or less) dinner recipes for my family!
Congrats!
In a cook book, I like to see recipe pictures as well as a list of substitutions when one doesn’t have a particular type of flour. I really like the idea of a section of 5 ingredient or less meals.
My favorite feature would be for the book to be spiral bound and have side tabs for each section so that I can easily find what I am looking for. Also a conversion chart in the front would be great
Pictures sell a recipe for me!
A really good index is critical to a good cookbook!
It doesnt surprise me that you have 15k likes! i use your recipes all the time and feel confident of their validity in regard to THM foods! blessings…
Congrats on 15k likes! Things I like in a cookbook: recipes that aren’t complicated, pictures, and the book must lay flat and stay open while I’m using it.
I love a good index. I like to be able to choose an ingredient that I have and see a list of recipes with that ingredient. Pictures help as well…
Spiral bound cookbooks are the best. What I look for in a cook book are healthy dishes for kids. I have a picky 4 year old and feeding her is a challenge.
Good pictures and an easy to navigate layout is key to a good cookbook! Having an online version available is always a bonus!
Best feature of a cookbook is an excellent table of contents and an excellent index, plus easy to see subjects at the tops of the pages if one is inclined to flip through the book… 🙂 Congrats on your success!
My favorite cookbook feature is a well organized index where you can easily find recipes.
Colour photos make a cookbook so appealing. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your gifts!
Congrats! I just love your blog…such great recipes! Thanks!
Giveaways are so much fun, though I don’t usually win. My family loves homemade ice cream!
I love pictures and a good index. 🙂
My favorite feature: pictures. Although, I would also like to respectfully mention a few others. 🙂
A good index is indispensable. Also, I REALLY appreciate when the list of ingredients makes sense. For example, listing all the dry ingredients before the liquid. I hate using a tsp for a liquid, only to see that I needed it next for a dry. (Is that just me?!) Also, 3 tsp. = 1 Tbsp. Why say the recipe requires 3 tsp. of something? (Another irk or mine from the THM cookbook…)
I do like what Kris mentions above, too: A 5 or fewer section would be awesome!
I TOTALLY agree with you that ingredients should be listed in the most logical order (because I’m known for using as few dishes as possible…lol). And the tsp. = T thing is another irk of mine! My cookbook will be laid out in as logical a manner as possible.
My favorite feature in a cookbook is sugar free, gluten free desserts! 🙂 Thanks for your wonderful website. I love it!
Desserts
I’m a sucker for simple recipes and pictures. 🙂
I love having more ideas to stay on Plan with Trim Healthy Mama.
My favorite thing in a cookbook is PICTURES. seriously. I love them! It makes cooking so much more enjoyable seeing the dish you’re going to make. I can;t wait for you new book! 🙂 🙂
Congrats! And thanks for a chance at a giveaway! I like a well prepared index with names of recipes that are easy to remember. 😉 And definitely pictures.
My favorite part is using the THM letters so I can easily build meals
Would absolutely love an ice cream maker of my own! Wouldn’t you know, right before I found THM and your blog, we gave our ancient ice cream maker to Goodwill?? Ha! This Trim Healthy Teen has been wishing for a new one for way too long! 😉
I absolutely LOVE your recipes! I follow you on facebook and Pinterest so that I don’t miss out on all of the great things you put out! My favorite part of a good cook book is to have a very easy to follow index. I love being about to find my favorite recipes fast and easy.
My favorite feature of a cook book is well written directions.
A great cookbook will have lots of pictures, categories/sections, and a really good index!
Oh, this would be so wonderful to win!
I use your recipes quite often and always enjoy them. I’d love to have an ice cream maker so I can try your ice cream recipes!
Congratulations!!
I LOVE pictures of the food! It encourages me to make it.
I actually have 2 favorite features – easy to follow recipes with minimal ingredients and a photo of what the finished product should look like.
My favorite feature of a cookbook (other than the recipes. of course) is pictures!
Ice Cream has been a favorite of mine all my life! Since I started THM a few years ago I haven’t had as much as I would like 😉 Although there are plenty of recipes to choose from, just the time to make it.
My favorite things in cookbooks are the entrees! And great pictures ☺️
Congratulations! All your hard work paid off!
So fun! Love your blog!
I think the index is most important so to make cooking quick for us busy mama’s
Congratulations on 15,000! My favorite feature is an easy to use index!
I can totally understand why you have so many followers. Awesome site and it will be a great help to me on my THM journey.
I just found your blog and since I love ice cream but since I was diagnosed with a severe life threatening mold allergy (sugar feeds fungus) I haven’t been able to eat ice cream.
Would love to win the ice cream maker. My husband would love it if we made ice cream!
Cook book… Desserts! And dinners.. Snacks are great! Chocolate!
I love your recipes. I can’t wait for the cookbook. I hope it has lots of beautiful pictures!
Thanks for giving away an ice cream maker!!! Love your recipes!!!
Hey Cindy, do you/did you sell goats? Been trying to track a Cindy Brush down for some info on some goats.
An ice-cream maker is one of the main keys to getting my fiance to join me on-plan!
In a cookbook, a good index (or multiple indexes divided in different ways) is definitely crucial, and tabs would be sooooo wonderful.
Congrats on 15k!!! As for the cookbook, I would say pictures are a must and well written directions (as in easy to understand/follow). Thanks for giving us a chance to win an ice cream maker like yours! I’m an ice cream fanatic and having one of these would make staying on plan late at night SOO much easier!
I like when there is an index by name of the recipe, but also by what main foods are in the recipe 🙂
I cannot thank you enough for your recipes. Would love to win the ice cream maker. I have missed ice cream!!!! Thanks for all you do.
I love pictures in cookbooks and a good index to make recipes easy to find
Love ice cream and would love to win!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is definitely pictures!
Congrats on 15K!!! I love the pictures and tips
I’m pretty accepting of most cookbooks, so I’ll borrow a couple great suggestions from some commenters above. 🙂
I really like the idea of a spiral bound cookbook and little stories about how the recipes came about or who or what they were inspired by.
I like to an ingredient search in a cookbook.
My favorite cookbook features are 30 minute or less dinners or 5 ingredient or less recipes. I would also love preschooler friendly recipes!
I love glossy, vibrant colored photos of the recipe – including step-by-step photos of more complicated recipes.
I would like a cookbook indexed by types (S, E, FP)
Congrats on your 15,000 likes! I love your recipes. My favorite feature would be simple but yummy recipes.

I just love all your recipes. You make such wonderful yummy things. Congratulations on your 15,000 likes on FB and I look forward to when you publish your cookbook!!
How exciting to be giving away an ice cream maker. My daughters love ice cream and it would be fabulous to be able to make them healthy ice cream. I did save some of your single serve ice cream recipes to try out with my blender.
For your cookbook I really love lots of photos. The more the better. Also it may be too much work but I like it when a cookbook has the nutrition facts. Really all I look at right now is the carbs and fats but when a cookbook has the nutrition facts that is super helpful. No matter how you make your cookbook I am getting one. Can’t wait for it to come out! 🙂
Congrats on getting 15,000 likes!! I love a lot of your recipes. Thank you for sharing with us and for doing this awesome giveaway. 🙂
Congratulations:) And, thank you for your ice cream recipes:)
My favorite cookbooks are spiral bound with thick shiny paper that won’t rip if it get s a bit messy 🙂
My favorite feature in cookbooks are pictures with recipes, and as much nutritional facts as possible.
My favorite part of a cookbook is the desserts section.
Love your recipes!
My husband and son are addicted to sugar (just as I have always been). We used to be plant based and made ice cream from frozen fruit. Getting an ice cream maker would be wonderful for my boys with their sweet teeth and with diabetes running in hubby’s family, it scares me for my family!!
Thank you for this great opportunity!
Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
Congratulations on the fans and followers! I have tried several of your recipes before (including some in the THM cookbook) and would love to see a cookbook from you!! My fav. feature in a cookbook is good organization/ease of finding recipes. I often think of one I want to make but then spend forever trying to find it so either a good index that is easy to use or a good division of categories… Good luck!
My favorite part of cookbooks is picture So! I’m more likely to make the recipes that have pictures along with them. I like to see what I’m going to make! Looking forward to your cookbook!
Yay Brianna! I love your blog, and your recipes! I can’t wait for the cookbook. I’ve printed so many of your recipes that they have their own binder!
I just saw that you are looking for favorite cookbook features. I’d have to say that I use the alphabetical index often, but I love it when I don’t have to place something on my cookbook for it to stay open!!!
Pictures and easy to use indexes are what makes a great cookbook, and easy recipes with not too many ingredients. I don’t have much time to cook, unfortunately most days.
Thank you for all your recipes and congrats on your 15K likes. The recipes are very well explained. I hope you get more likes than that because you for sure deserve it. Now I would love to start and make your ice cream and thank you for showing us which one you have.
A detailed index in the back of the cook book is so important to me.
Pregnant + summer = ice cream addiction!
You’ve got some great recipes! Thanks for sharing!
Favorite feature is to have it spiral bound so I can lay it flat and work with it and pages I can write notes on with each recipe. Congrats on 15,000
Yes, I love the idea of a spiral bound book as well. As well as lots of pictures. That way I can decide if it looks good enough to make.
My favorite feature of a cookbook is a well organized index. 😉
My favorite feature in a cookbook is pictures.
Love love love your recipes, especially the PB shake, it’s my husbands favorite!
I love pictures in a cookbook, to give me an idea of what the meal is going to look like!
Congrats on reaching 15k! Favorite part of a cookbook for me is the crockpot recipes
What a fun giveaway! Love your blog and love your THM recipes
My favorite section of a cookbook is desserts!
My favorite feature(s) of a cookbook are the pictures, ease of prep, and no “exotic” ingredients. (Not including THM ingredients of course:)
YAY for giveaways!!! And just in time for the hot weather!
THANK YOU for all you share and the opportunity to maybe win an ice cream maker to try out those delicious looking ice cream recipes! Congrats on the “likes” 🙂
As far as a feature in a cookbook, I love pictures of the food – along with easy recipes!
For a cookbook, I really enjoy having pictures with as many recipes as possible – that’s part of the reason I love your blog!
I have been eyeing an ice cream maker on Amazon for awhile, this would be awesome!
I think my favorite part of a cookbook is a good index or table of contents. You have to be able to locate the yummy stuff!
I like friendly banter and stories. I love that about the THM cookbook. I enjoy hearing the stories behind recipes. Congratulations!
Favorite part of a cookbook is a a great index and clear instructions (with not many steps :).)
First of all CONGRATULATIONS! What I would like to see in a cookbook would be an index by title, ingredient and food type i.e. breakfast, dessert, main dish, salad. Thank you for the recipes and the giveaway. I would be excited to win!
My favorite feature in cookbooks are the pictures!!! Yum!!!
My fave feature of cookbooks is a really really good index in the back! I like being able to look up recipes by name and ingredients, cause sometimes I can’t remember the name or dish but can remember some ingredients!
Congrats!!! Your recipes are my favorite!
A well organized index is my favorite feature in a cookbook…I rarely see a cookbook these days that has a good index. =( Pictures are also a fun part of a cookbook, but if you struggle to find the recipe…
For a cookbook:
Pictures are awesome!
Easy recipes are nice!
Love having them categorized THM style!
I think the one thing I would really like to see in your cookbook is food divided by deep s, heavy s, E and FP. It would really be helpful when meal planning to find the fuel source. It is always such a pain to look through skillet dinners or casseroles looking for he fuel source needed to fill the slot on he menu.
Also, maybe a few meal plans already listed out using recipes from your cookbook. Or other nifty helps that you and your family have found to make the thm lifestyle easier for you. :). Blessings to you and your family!
Congratulations on your 15k likes. I think my favorite kind of cookbook is easy to find things in. It is categorized well and has easy to navigate indexes. I would also add that it is helpful if it is concise in the ingredients list. Add weights if relevant, not making the assumption that a can of pineapple, for instance, is always the same size.
Thanks for doing a giveaway! It’s great exposure for you & with all the shares I got to discover your blog & facebook page!
Congratulations on 15,000 likes! My favorite feature of a cookbook is that it is easy to lay open without shutting while I’m cooking. I’d pay extra just for that feature. Spiral bound or something of that nature.
I like cookbooks with lots of pictures and very clear directions.
I love it when there’s a photo of most recipes. It helps me to know if I created the recipe properly if I can see what it’s supposed to look like!
For me a cookbook needs lots of great pictures. It’s the pictures that draw you in and make you want to try the recipe. I tend to pass over the recipes without pics.
My favorite part of a cookbook is how the recipes are grouped by type or occasion!
I love pictures in a cookbook. Thanks for all your recipes!
Congrats on the “likes”. Love your recipes!! Can’t wait to buy the cookbook!!!!
I am so thankful for your recipes! Pictures truly do make the cookbook – very inspirational! Also, laying flat is really nice! Congratulations!!
I love when a cookbook has notes beyond the recipe, like what to serve it with or suggestions for variations.
I LOVE pictures in a cookbook. The visuals help to guide the cooking process and are inspiring at the same time.
Favorite THM cookbook would include # of grams of fats / carbs per serving and what the serving size is! Also pages that I can wipe clean. 😉
congrats!
Congratulations on all your likes…I have to say that I just finished your Peanut Butter Milkshake….AWESOME! My favorite part of a cookbook would have to be the pics…I like to know what a recipe is supposed to look like!
I love all your recipes! In a recipe book I love full color photos!
Ooo, so many ice cream recipes! I do not have an ice cream maker, but i will make some of these recipes even if i don’t win! 🙂
Out of your cookbook I would definitely find it handy to know the type of meal-S E or FP!
Congratulations on 15,000 likes. I have followed you for about a year and love that you think outside of the box when designing your recipes. I also really appreciate that your recipes are user friendly and not a lot of special ingredients.
love your blog and the recipes!!
Would love to win and make all your ice cream much easier!
I love it when cook books make it easy for find your favorite recipes. Like categorizing them several ways. Like by food type (breakfast, lunch etc). and also by main ingredient (meats, veggies etc).
My favorite features are photos, recipes categorized by meal type (s, e, fp), and different variations of a recipe included as options.
Thanks for all your great recipes!! Congratulations!!
Love your blog! Thanks for the great giveaway!!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is the pictures! Love to see what the yummy food may look like 🙂
5 ingredient recipes, no special ingredients, so I can grab the cookbook and make something with what I have in my home.
Thank you so much for the opportunity! I LOVE everything about your blog and recipes! You are a blessing to so many. Keep on being awesome!
Twinsies! Congrats on hitting 15K! I can’t believe we did it on the same day! <3
Congrats on the 15K! Favorite feature of a cookbook is definitely pics – I like to know what the final product should look like. But another cool feature would be a section with 5 or less ingredients!
I love pictures!
I love when the books lay flat and the pics. It really sells the recipes to the fam.
My favorite feature of a cookbook is lots of great pictures – especially if they show lots of the steps. Congratulations on the new book! 🙂
My favorite feature of cookbooks has to be pictures. I’ve always liked seeing what I’m about to create. 🙂
I really like when cookbooks are spiral bound. I am really looking forward to getting yours! I am a HUGE FAN! 🙂
Congratulations! My favorite feature of a cookbook is a good index with several cross-references.
Congratulations Briana!! 🙂 My favorite features in a cookbook would be pictures ( even tho when I make it, it doesn’t always look as good as the pic.. Lol) and easy to follow recipes.. I’m glad I finally know someone who likes ice cream as good as I do!! 🙂
Aw❤️ How kind of you to gift one of us with an ice cream maker! You already do so much with your wonderful recipes! Ice cream included.?
Congrats! Love your blog and ice cream recipes! My fav feature in a cookbook is a great index, cross-referenced by recipe type and by food type. I can usually find my favorites but like to be able to search in different ways.
I have always enjoyed pictures and easy to use indexes
Congratulations on your 15,000+ Facebook followers. My favorite aspect of a cookbook is being surprised by new recipes and seeing new versions of my favorite ones. Its great when the author is able to connect to me by adding a memory, a personal experience, or a quote that finds meaning and connect with me as the reader. I look forward to seeing the cookbook!
I am a sucker for cookbooks and can’t wait for yours! I need pictures. Pictures make the cookbook for me, they let me know what the desired end product should look like so I can judge what I did verses what the recipe said. That is one of the reasons I love your blog so much!
YOU ROCK!
I to am a frozen confection addict, so browsing through all your recipes is a nice relaxing time as well as productive in taste testing. I actually keep your page up on my computer refreshing it daily to see what is new. Thanks for enjoying this healthy walk in life and sharing it with us!
I have loved your recipes and insight to THM! I love your ice cream! How exciting to have so many likes!
How sweet to have an ice cream maker giveaway!
I like a cookbook with pictures! Lots of pictures. 🙂
I like when there’s recipe index in the back of the book. So you can look up a specific recipe and page number.
Congratulations! You deserve it! I love your recipes and I would love to with this ice cream maker like yours! 🙂
I love really organized and appetizers
I’ve always wanted to try one, ever since reading about yours! And I hear these freezers are great for quickly chilling fresh goat milk, which prevents a “goaty” flavor-two uses in one!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is easy and with pictures. Also, little stories to go along with some of them. About how it came about or such. Love to read cookbooks!!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is a really good index!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is having the index well organized making it easy to find the recipes. Congrats on all the ‘likes’, they are well deserved – your recipes are amazing!
I think my favorite part of a cookbook is the pictures. I also like clearly organized lists of ingredients and directions.
Congratulations! Keep up the good work!
I am looking forword to your cookbook, and I always enjoy ice cream!
I like a good index that you can search by main ingredients.
I can’t wait for a cookbook from you! You have AMAZING THM recipes! I would love to see the recipes sorted by type S, FP, E, Crossover, etc. Thank you!
A good index
My favorite part of a cookbook is ….. THE PICTURES!!
Hey Love everything you write about because it inspires and encourages me to continue to stay on track to feeling better..I need that since I lost my hubby on feb 8 of this year I had been not eating THM and the pain has returned..Its hard trying to find my purpose I miss him and read your post in my inbox and decided to let you know I am going to start again so thank you..And I love the way you index the recipes and keep them in the catagories..it makes it easier to read..God Bless you for helping all of us..Patricia
I’m sorry to hear about your husband, Patricia. I just prayed that God would give you strength and encouragement. Blessings.
I love to see the photos, I just plain love cookbooks.
My Pinterest boards are filled with your recipes! Looking forward to the new cookbook.
Thank-you for all the time you put into your blog !! I love it when cookbooks have Good, COLORED pictures inside!! May God Bless You.
Love your recipes, especially the ice cream!!!!
thanks so much for making this life style so attainable and fun!
I really enjoy your recipes and have been searching for a secondhand ice cream maker since I saw your recipes…I found one at GWs (Goodwill) and bought it, it was brand new. Got it home, froze the canister, was so excited to use it only to discover in testing the ice cream maker they had failed to repack a crucial element so I had to return it…haven’t found a good one since. I SOOOOO desperately hope to win this…but will still be happy for whoever does, even if it’s not me 😉
Love your blog! Thanks for offering this giveaway, too! What I find most helpful in cookbooks is the list of ingredients at the beginning of a recipe. This helps me to know at a glance whether I have the ingredients. Also, a complete index based on main ingredients.
Ooh la, la, an icecream maker!!! 🙂
My favorite part of a cookbook is where there are sections describing each type of food, i.e., entrees, appetizers, etc. I guess you could call that a really good “Table of Contents.” Love your recipes. Thanks so much!!!
I think your photography is really wonderful. I can’t wait to try some of the ice cream recipes you have posted!
I love ice cream…and THM 🙂
I love a cookbook that is full of pictures! Also the organization of a cookbook and a logical index is critical.
I hope I don’t sound like a stalker. I really am not! I just love your Blog and all your recipes. I tell everyone that I tell about THM, about Briana Thomas. The two of you go hand in hand 🙂
Have a Bless day!
Rachel
Aw, you’re very sweet. <3
Yay! I want one like that sooo bad!
In a cookbook I like pictures with every recipe!
And I like when a recipe says how many it will feed.
I have always wanted an ice cream maker it would be special to say the least if I would win!!!!
Beautiful photography! I’m more motivated to actually make the recipes with delicious looking photos. That’s what I like so much about your blog, actually.
I love a good recipe index with things in alphabetical order! Also pictures are fun! 😉
An extensive index is absolutely necessary in a cookbook.
I think a good index is important, and being able to search by meal type, special cooking method (for example, slow cooker) or even by significant ingredients is so helpful! Thanks for doing an ice cream maker give-away, I have been eagerly pinning your ice cream recipes in anticipation of the day that we get an ice cream maker!
When I write out my recipes, I group the ingredients in the ingredient list together based on how they will be used, with spaces between the different ingredients for different steps. For me it makes reading a recipe much easier.
I really like that idea, and was actually already planning on that!
Awesome. Great minds think alike, maybe? For me, it is so helpful to group ingredients (maybe because I am a visual learner) that I often rewrite others’ recipes the same way that I do mine. So if it’s done for me already, that will definitely be a motivation to buy your cookbook!
My favorite part of cookbooks are the pictures and easy to understand recipe and steps.
Thank you for the chance to win!!
One of my favorite features in a cookbook is colored pictures. I love to see what a recipe is supposed to look like when it is finished!!
Congratulations on 15,000 likes. My favorite feature of a cookbook is a good index.
My favorite of a cookbook is the photos! But an index grouped in a couple ways would be nice. Congrats on 15K!
I love lots of pictures in a cookbook! 😉
I enjoy your blog and the recipes you post. I’m hoping that there will be recipes that can be cut in half or thirds in your new book as I only cook for two. I just bought a 1 1/2 qt. crockpot because it is hard to cook small portions in my huge family size crockpot!
Congrats – 15,000 Likes! I am not surprised! Love your recipes and can’t wait for the cookbook!
Favorite feature of regular cookbooks would be the pictures. But a THM book, I’d like a category feature. When I know what fuel I want, but don’t want to have to look through the whole dinner section to find a recipe that appeals to me at the moment.
I am loving your blog!! I just saw the info about the ice cream maker give-a-way. I have a church friend who just started THM and her addiction is ice cream. I thought perhaps if I could win this for her, it would help you make the healthier choices for some of your ice cream recipes!! Hoping I can truly win it for her. Praying!! Thank you!!!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is a cross-reference of ingredients as well as pictures. Congratulations and thank you for the chance to win this!
Cookbooks need a easy to find index with several cross references – title, type, kind, etc). I hate when I can’t find a recipe in a cookbook with an odd name I forget. Look forward to a cookbook. Hope it is reasonably priced.
What a blessing, Keep going ! Yes an ice cream maker would be a blessing for me right now!
Pictures of recipes 🙂 and a good index
How do I choose one favorite part of a cookbook? I love great pics with easy recipes in simple categories but I really love the ease of spiral bound cookbooks.
I love cookbooks! I read them like some people will read a good book! 🙂
As far as what I like when using a cookbook – I enjoy when directions are given in steps….clear directions. And, I love the breakfast sections.
Congratulations on the 15,000 Likes!
I love a photo of every recipe, then a good index. I will give an example of what I mean by ‘good index’. You might need two for this type of cookbook. One for meal type S, E, FP and then one categorized or maybe blend them together. Ice Creams: Mock Moosetracks Ice Cream (THM:S, Low Carb, Sugar Free, Gluten Free)…………pg 215. Your website indexes are very good. It would just be nice to know the type. Where your site is dual purpose not everyone cares if it is an S, E, or FP. They might only be concerned if it is Low Carb, or Sugar Free, or Gluten Free. I believe the index is one of the hardest things to get right. It can make or break the sale of the book. If the users cannot find a recipe easily, they will soon not use the book nor give as a gift. Sorry, I got a little carried away!
I can’t wait for your cookbook.
Thanks for the input! I love good indexes too! I’m not sure if you knew about this page on my site or not, but here are all my indexes for fuel type and allergy info: https://www.briana-thomas.com/recipes/recipes-by-diet-classification/
Favorite feature is a photo with the recipe. Can’t wait for your cookbook!
I love cookbooks with pictures!
Love all your recipes!!! The ice cream ones are a life saver!!! Thank you!!
Thank you for the giveaway! My favorite feature is the pictures. One thing I noticed about myself is that I am way more likely to make a recipe if I have an idea of what it looks like.
Hi , I love your recipes, especialy Breads and Cakes.? Thanks, Dale
Thanks for a chance at your ice cream giveaway! I think a section with kitchen tips and tricks or items/tools you find useful in the kitchen would be a fun thing in your cookbook! – Jamie
I love photos of the recipes and ingredients listed in the order used in cookbooks.
My favorite part is a good index. So I can find the recipe I need quickly!
So much fun! My kids would thoroughly enjoy an ice cream maker! Can’t wait to see your cookbook!!
I would share so much ice cream with family and friends, should I win. THM for the win!
Love ice cream and have wanted an ice cream maker for a while! This will be a blessing to whichever lucky lady wins it!
This would be so nice to have. Super excited about the giveaway!
I’ve always wanted to try your ice cream recipes!
Love this giveaway! Thanks for such an awesome site!
Pictures, pictures, pictures!!!!!
I love the fact that your recipes are edible, well, not just edible but enjoyable and my kids tend to love all the things I make from your blog. They are not too happy with other recipes I have tried on them from other THM friendly sites. It helps that you have a sweet tooth and you don’t just throw things in because it’s healthy, but cause its yummy!!! Latest love is the chocolate truffle fudge. My kids stole pieces out of the fridge, I was wondering how my supply was getting so low!! My personal favorite and the key here is that I am NOT a peanut butter fan, but your butterfinger recipe is to die for!!!! I have to be honest and say I make this one every couple of weeks!!! Thanks for making the THM journey fun, exciting and enjoyable, with no feelings of depravation whatsoever!!! Love It!!
I’m so glad you enjoy the recipes!
Thank you for all you do for us!
I was just looking at this ice cream maker today. It is nice to know what you use.
One of the things I like in a cookbook is pictures of the recipe and a good index that’s easy to use.
Congratulations on 15K likes! Thank you for creating all the yummy recipes. In a cookbook, I like a well organized index, especially when you can lookup recipes by main ingredient(s) as well as type and/or title.
If it doesn’t have a good index, it’s really hard to use. In fact, multiple indexes (in hard copy) are really helpful: by recipe name, by main ingredient, by meal for example. eBooks just need lots of key words. I also like pictures of finished product. Your pictures are particularly appealing.
I agree with many of these ladies that a good index is a must. I love to see pictures as well! Your cookbook will be well loved in my house. Sometimes it’s just nice to have things in print and not on the computer screen.
Pictures!! I am far more likely to try a new recipe, especially with new ingredients, if I know what the final product is going to look like.
I love coil bound cookbooks so the pages don’t fall out!
Perfect for summer
One of my favorite features in a cookbook is pictures of the food. It helps to see what the end product should look like. ?
My favorite feature in a cookbook is pictures. Pictures speaking a thousand words and help to take a recipe to an artistic level that the creature intended.
* Creator intended not creature, lol
My favorite part about a cookbook is the pictures! I do NOT like cookbooks without pictures.
Features I like in cookbooks – Easy to read ingredients so I can scan and know if I have everything , color pictures and a personal note about each recipe(crazy messup, your sisters favorite, etc) Been following you for awhile and love your recipes Briana!
I love giveaways, but love your recipes more! Thank you for sharing your THM compatible recipes, making foods that keep me on track and satisfy any cravings I might have. You are so creative, not only in making delicious recipes, but in anticipating foods we enjoy and need to learn to make the THM way!
My daughter would love an ice cream maker! She’s made many of your recipes and we love them all!
I’d love to try this ice cream maker!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is pictures – for every recipe!
For me, it is most important for a cookbook to list ALL ingredients up front so that I can better plan….If there are utilized in phases/sections, it is also helpful to have that designation (either a line space to group the ingredients or a subtopic label (ex: for the filling layer:……)). Also, I really appreciate it when the ingredients are listed in the order in which they are used. Thanks for asking about that and thanks for this giveaway. 🙂
May I just say, that every recipe I try of yours I love and it actually turns out really well. My favorite is your peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. Thanks for trying and then sharing with us these great recipes!
Pictures draw me to a cookbook.
Looking forward to more ice cream in my future!
This machine would make making all your recipes soooo much easier!!!
I like an ingredient search feature. Like right now I have dates and can’t remember what recipe I bought them for. ??
I like recipes that have real ingredients and if it’s something not normally used it will tell where to get it like you did in this post with the glycerin.
Congrats on 15,000+
My favorite feature in cookbooks are ( in some ) people write in and say if the recipe was good, what they did different. …also meals that can stretch into the next day…..like let’s say you make a pizza burger, well then the leftover meat can be made for something else the next day…….and thank you for the giveaway hope I win:)
I love simple recipes, easy to follow and common ingredients. I know your cookbook will be wonderful!
Loving your website and FB page!! Thank you for all you do.
My favorite cookbook feature is a photo of the recipe! It always helps to know what it should look like.
I truly enjoy your posts and that you share THM recipes
I love when nutritional information is added in recipes! Also, what to do with leftovers or how to alter the recipe with different ingredients (rice, tortillas, etc.)
One of my favorite features of a cookbook is an alphabetized index, instead of a categorized one. Thanks for this giveaway! Have been wanting to try your ice cream recipes but don’t have an ice cream maker yet 🙂
I love when a cookbook has pictures with the recipes. I am looking forward to your cookbook being published!
A good index is absolutely necessary for a cookbook. I hate searching all through the many possible areas I might find a recipe. I have a cookbook addiction … overflowing!
Favourite feature of any cookbook would be lots of full color pictures, spiral bound or stays open when laying, and an easy index. 🙂
I love pictures of the food in cookbooks also!
Love your ice cream recipes!
It would be great if it could some how be sectioned off per meal type like for example – breakfast S breakfast E breakfast FP, Lunch S lunch E….and so on and so forth! 🙂
I have liked many of your recipes.
I commented before I entered. Haha. In a cookbook, I like the pictures and some fun stories. It also helps if I actually have all the ingredients. One of my favorite cookbooks is Pioneer Woman. And THM. ?
A thorough index is wonderful!
I am excited! Awesome!
Congratulations! 🙂
My fave part of a cookbook is the pictures! I tend to try the recipes that have pictures first. 😉
Pictures and a good index are great in a cookbook. And little bits of you. Like stories, or how you came up with the recipes. So excited for you. What an achievement.
Live the pictures in a cookbook AND serving size AND a good index
I’m glad to have discovered you online! Thanks for the recipes, fun, and encouragement.
Yay!! This is fun!!
So exciting! I love reading and receiving your posts via email! I have made several of your recipes, but not any ice cream ones as I do not have an ice cream maker! This is a great giveaway!! Thanks!!
Congratulations on hitting 15k! What a fun giveaway to celebrate!!
I LOVE your recipes!!!
Congrats on the likes…putting them in categories for easy access.
I like good, color photos in cookbooks, and substitutes.
Congrats on 15K likes! I like a good appendix in a cookbook so it is easy to find what you are looking for – broken out not only by title but by ingredients, categories (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc.), and with THM it would be great to be broken out by fuel type – S, E, FP. I can’t wait for the cookbook!!
Multiple indexes! I like to be able to find recipes according to ingredient, but also according to title, meal type (S,E,FP), and type of meal (dessert, snack, crock pot, etc.)
I think attractive pictures make an excellent cookbook (you shouldn’t have any problem with that :). Also, pages that are durable enough for kid helpers, and an index that’s easy to find what you’re looking for!
Would love to win this! And hooray for 15k!
Definitely pictures, and also all the new inspiration
I like a recipe to give nutritional and ingredient information.
Hey Briana! My family loves your recipes and I cant wait for the cook book to come out! I’m most likely going to be cooking everything out of your book once I get it! I’m so excited! I love all of your dessert recipes and I actually have your cinnamon rolls stored in my freezer right now!
Pictures are always great to have in a cookbook!
I like clear easy to follow instructions. Also recipes that use regular ingredients not foo foo things.
One thing I like to see in a cookbook is a good index. It really helps when you are trying to find things.
Love your blog, love ice cream! God bless you!
My favorite feature of a cookbook is tabs. Tabs such as cookies, cake, ice cream, sides, breakfast and so on.
I like clear instructions, but then tips at the bottom of a recipe too.
I love seeing colored pictures of recipes in cookbooks. Thanks!
Enjoy your posts & could make good use of the ice cream maker. Thanking you in advance.
I would love a cookbook because it would help me stay on plan and feed my family!
This would be fun to have!
Pictures! I love pictures in a cookbook! If there are pictures with a recipe, I’m much more likely to try it. A well-organized index is a definite bonus too. And congratulations on 15,000 likes!
Ty for doing this giveaway! I love ice cream too!
A must in a cookbook is a good index because to me it if very frustrating when it takes forever to find a recipe if I do not know the page number. A second must is well organized categories of recipes. That makes browsing the cookbook easier.
My favorite section is most certainly the dessert section.
