This list is only the tip of the iceberg; I’ve been an avid reader for my entire life. However, these books are some that stick in my memory as some of the best, most well-written books I’ve ever read.
The Cheney Duvall, M.D. series…one of the only Christian fiction series I can stomach.
The Last Sin Eater by Francine Rivers (I don’t like her other books, but this book was extremely good.)
The Heart Mender – it’s not as sappy as it sounds. It is incredible.
Unlocked by Karen Kingsbury. I’m not a big fan of her other books, but this one has a very unique plotline. And it’s built around a musical, which is awesome.
Hope Rising – this a collection of true stories from a therapeutic riding facility in Oregon
I have a question for you guys today, so comment below with your answer.
Do you re-read books?
I do. Multiple times. I find something new every time I read a book.
I don’t normally reread books, unless they’re classics. But I have read The Mitford Series by Jan Karon at least 6 times through the years. Those books just speak to me. The characters are so real, & there is nothing objectionable in them. Highly recommend! There are several books in the series.
Fun fact, I was visiting Biltmore Mansion in Asheville one time, and met Jan Karon in a gift shop there! I was starstruck, but she was so kind & gracious, as I knew she would be.
Thanks for your recommendations, I see a few books I need to check out now.
Yes I do re-read…usually when there is nothing new to read.
Good list! There are few books that I re-read. Mostly, I’m a once kinda gal.
Some of these are on my favorites list-some I’ll have to look for! Yes, I do like to revisit books-sort of touching base with an old friend.
Blessings.
