Only 6 ingredients are required to make this refreshing grapefruit slushie (2 of which are water and ice, so do they really count?), and since it contains protein, you can use it on its own for a snack on the lighter side! I love the bold flavor punch of ruby red grapefruit, and this slushie captures it all in a glass.
Easy to buzz together and low calorie, this slushie makes the perfect evening snack if you want something to eat but know you shouldn’t stuff your face with ice cream and brownies.
I am definitely planning to make quite a few slushie variations over the summer. Since I’ll be heading up to Ohio to work for my grandparents at The Peach Barn in Holmes County for two weeks in July, I’m thinking that a peach slushie is in order….

This is amazing!!! I looked up a YouTube video on skinning a grapefruit, so I did that, and it was fun! Then I blended everything like the recipe says, but I omitted the water. This is SO yummy!!!
I’m so glad you liked it, Kim!
i tried this one this morning with a grapefruit from among a huge crate of citrus fruit I got from my florida residing grandparents for Christmas! It’s delicious going to make this a bunch more! <3 Thanks for sharing the gifts God gave you with us.
Nice! Thank you for sharing. I will surely try this out
Looks so good! I can’t wait to try it. Thank you so much.
How is this an S? Wouldn’t it be an E?
Yes, this is an E and is marked as such in the recipe. Where do you see this referred to as an S?
Okay, good! I thought I was losing it. I went back to look. I found it is marked as an S in the Trim Healthy Mama facebook post that was put up yesterday. But you’re right that once you click the link, your blog says E. Thank you!
This sounds so refreshing for the hot days of summer.
Thanks a bumch.
Can the True Grapefruit be a substitution for the actual grapefruit?
I’m not familiar with the product you’re referring to, but I don’t think so. You need the liquid from the grapefruit as well. 🙂
