…beautiful fall weather.
…golden light illuminating leaves of many hues. Even shades of decaying brown are made beautiful by light.
…redeemed relationships, even if it’s only between me and the crazy dog. I think we’ve finally reached a mutually enjoyable understanding.
(And even *I* have to admit that she’s pretty cute.)
…love shown in tangible forms, not just in words (although those are nice too).
…my mother. She made me two new dresses last week! I like to cook, she likes to sew, so sometimes we trade favors. 😉 And she was mostly just being really, really sweet.
(speaking of my mom)
…my mom and sisters. They’re some of my best friends.
…God’s attention to the details. I needed a certain amount of that red fabric, and JoAnn’s had just enough!
…the ability and opportunity to split some wood. I love splitting wood. It’s great exercise, it makes me feel productive, it clears my head, and it means we have wood to burn in the fireplace when the air has a freezing bite to it!
…the fact that I actually like to run now. I don’t do anything spectacular, but I usually get out around five times a week. Running clears my head, fires up my metabolism, and helps me sleep deep at night! It’s been the extra incentive my body needed to trim up and finally lose some weight.
…a kitchen to cook in (thanks for sharing, Mom!).
…the fact that this Drinkable Hot Chocolate Custard turned out a-maz-ingly and tastes like Pizza Inn’s chocolate pudding when refrigerated.
…the recent recipe videos I’ve been able to make. (It was a project I was dreading jumping into for a very long time, but it’s actually doable!)
…when pictures turn out pretty.
(Psst – This recipe will be coming to you next week! Be sure to sign up for email updates at the top of the page to make sure you see it!)
…my family. I have the best family. Like, forrealz. They get me, they admonish me, they encourage me, and they love me unconditionally.
…the fact that this year’s Christmas picture mostly sort of turned out even though it was a tripod/self timer deal. 😛
What are YOU thankful for? Comment below and let’s compare notes!
You know what’s cool? The things that I’m most thankful for are free! Including salvation my Christ’s righteousness covering me, which is the thing for which I am most thankful.
Hallo there,
I am grateful for my family and the nature in which I can live.
Both open my heart so often and make me believe in miracles. Even if the world sometimes makes you doubt it.
Lovely website, thanks for sharing. So far and yet so close. 😉 Greetings from Germany, Carola. 🤗
Briana,
Your website is lovely and the photography is amazing!
Thanks for sharing 🙂
I am thankful for my family, my friends, my church, you and your AMAZING recipes, but, most of all I am thankful for Jesus Christ’s free gift of salvation. Happy late Thanksgiving! I hope you had a good one:)
I want to make the torte but I don’t have the sweetner you are using. I do have GENTLE SWEET, swerve, xylitol and maybe some erythritol. Any ideas how I could substitute?
BTW HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Hi there! You can use this chart to help convert between sweeteners (or just do it to taste): https://media.trimhealthymama.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2017/05/07222306/THM.Sweetener-Conversion-Chart.pdf
I recommend starting with less sweetener than you think you’ll need, then adding in small increments, tasting as you go so you don’t accidentally get too much. 🙂
I am very thankful for my Lord Jesus Christ and Him being my saviour. I don’t know what I’d do without him and his protection and for my church family. The Lord took my husband home to be with him 10 years ago in Dec. We couldn’t have any children so my Lord and my church family is really precious to me. I thank him for them.
Thank you for your emails and your receipes.
May God bless you!
I’m also enjoying fall colors, healthy food prep, family, and knowing God is my saviour! I enjoy your posts and your cookbook. Especially thankful for the THM way of life!
I am so thankful I serve a risen Saviour and He’s alive forevermore! Hallelujah! I’m also thankful for my loving husband and 5 children. Also for the fellowship we have with our church family. Blessings to you and your family. I enjoy your recipes and am looking forward to having your second cookbook! 🙂
I love your post. You are so right God is great! I love the wonderful fall colors that he bless us with. There is nothing like knowing God and receiving his blessings. We must be thankful to him for everything even in the bad times. God Bless you, you are such an inspiration.
During the many visits with my grandma years ago she said one of her favorite things to do was split wood when she was little. She would much rather get home from school and split a pile of wood than do any of the house work. I am smiling ear to ear thinking about that talk. Thank you for trigger that for me.
That’s so neat! I’m glad I’m not the only one. 😉
We have so much to be thankful for everyday. The thought that our Lord and saviour allows us to wake up to a new day and that His mercies are new everyday. Thankful for His wonderful saving grace.
He has blessed me with a great family and church family and friends whom I love dearly.
Thank you for your testimony and letting your light shine through his word, you’re cooking and more.
(Was going to comment on WP but no option, just a like button from what I could tell)
I’m glad in your book you mentioned how to say your name correctly?
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing, Robbie! You’re right – we are SO blessed!
And I am thankful for you and who you are ! What a fabulous family ! – and dog.
<3 Aw, thank you, Paula!
Beautiful! Thoughts & pictures, Brianna, are your own and lovely. I also am thankful for my husband, 2 daughters and their families (3 grandchildren). Yes, I too, am thankful for Jesus Christ and what he means in my life. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Thank you for reading, Tara!
I am thankful for you and your willingness to share with us. As with you, I agree that the things that I am most thankful for are free. Most especially, my salvation in Christ and his grace to me. Happy Thanksgiving! ??? ?
Thank you, Abigail! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
