I’m leaving you with a short post today because I’m working full time in Holmes County, OH, at my grandparents’ peach stand and am a little short on time right now. I have recipe posts scheduled for the next week and a half, but after that I’m going to need to find a way to juggle everything. I have a ton of recipes all ready to go (pictures taken too), but now I just need to find time to put them together.
I’m starting a week of music camp here in OH starting tomorrow night and going through the following Sunday evening. I’m so excited for the experience! On top of taking two classes, I’ll be participating in two choirs. I love music, especially choral music, and this music camp has been on my bucket list for years, so I’m so thankful it’s finally working out for me to attend.
I’m reading through Deuteronomy right now, and I thought I’d share with you some of the verses that jumped out to me from chapter 5. When I looked at these verses, they just reminded me that God is such a perfect Father to us:
We have a personal relationship with God. He doesn’t just make His covenant with those who have gone before us, but with us as well! I’m so thankful that I can have my own personal relationship with God my Father.
God wants us to fear (reverence) Him not just because He deserves His glory (see last week’s post on that subject), but for our own good.
Our God has such a loving, merciful, forgiving heart that seeks our good. Never forget that.
