Last week I wrote a blog post about being overwhelmed, and God blessed me so much through all of you and your kind comments and words of support! Even though that post was more personal than I usually write, putting it together was very therapeutic; I process things better when I write them down, and this time was no exception. All of your kind comments and prayers mean so much to me. Even though I do not know many of you, I’m beginning to feel like I do. I have so many friends in the Body of Christ, and I am so blessed. To those of you who shared your own experiences of being overwhelmed and how you overcame/are overcoming them – thank you. We are all in this journey together, and we serve a faithful God.
God showed me some verses this past week that blessed me so much, and I’d like to share them with you. You know how you hear stories about people opening up their Bibles to a random place and finding verses that fit their situations exactly? Well, it’s true. It’s happened to me multiple times, and it happened yet again this week. This time my Bible opened to Isaiah 44. Verse 3 become my theme verse for this week.
Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
2Â Thus saith the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
3Â For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
4Â And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
5Â One shall say, I am the Lord‘s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel.
6Â Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
7Â And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.
8Â Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
21Â Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
22Â I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
23Â Sing, O ye heavens; for the Lord hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
24Â Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
Isaiah 44:1-8; 21-24 KJV
Isn’t that beautiful? Our God is so good. Be blessed and encouraged this week. Be overwhelmed by the grace of God. And from the bottom of my heart – thank you.

I tried to comment last week on your post about being overwhelmed but it just wouldn’t work. It was such a honest humble confession of your heart. It helps so many of us see that we are not alone on this journey. I love to see the faithfulness of our Father as we seek Him with all our hearts. When He answers us with a specific word from His Word it revives our soul. I pray you are revived & renewed daily!
