My friend Ruth, owner of Skirted Blues, is sponsoring a giveaway for me today! Ruth makes denim skirts in every size…for girls and women alike! She doesn’t just do denim – she has skirts of other materials as well, like camo. Check out Ruth’s Etsy shop here to see what she carries, and scroll down to the bottom of this post to enter to win a skirt of your choice!
While I personally do not wear skirts on a regular basis, I am impressed with the quality of workmanship in Ruth’s skirts. She sent me one to review, and I’ll use it for wearing around bedtime or say, when I’m camping and need something appropriate to wear over my pajamas while I’m traipsing from the bathhouse to my tent. I usually wear dresses that I (or my mom) make myself because I’ve found them to be more modest and easy to get around in (I don’t want to have to worry about the top and bottom halves of my clothing not meeting in the middle). I know that a lot of my readers are skirt-wearers though, so I know some of you will be really interested in what Ruth has to offer.
Ruth’s skirts are made from new jeans, but the denim isn’t stiff. I’m impressed with how soft and comfortable it is, actually.
Ruth uses cute fabrics as inserts and ruffles for a feminine touch on her skirts.
All the seams are nice and neat, which I’m very impressed with because I do some sewing myself and I know how hard it is to make something look as nice on the inside as it does on the outside.
Again, you can check out Ruth’s Etsy shop here to see the wide selection of skirts that she offers. Ruth is also a Lilla Rose consultant, and you can view her Lilla Rose page here. Click here (or the picture below) to see the review I did a few weeks ago on Lilla Rose hair products.
