I’ve told y’all before about my dabbling in the Irish pennywhistle, so I thought I should upload a snippet. Here’s a video of my playing part of the theme from Titanic (a common wind instrument piece). Please excuse the background mess; I like to play and sing up in our shop building so I don’t disturb the household. 😛 I’m still playing at an elementary level on my pennywhistle and haven’t taken the time to learn the intricacies of ornamentation and all that yet. Phrasing and breathing is another thing I really need to work on. However, I enjoy sounding things out by ear and playing just for fun. This particular piece I learned by watching someone else on YouTube play it.
And here’s a (very dark) picture of me and Traveler last night (we keep things real for these Favorites Friday posts):

I love that you taught yourself how to play this tune on the penny whistle! It was fun to share with my youngest, who is three years old. Thank you! BTW, your shop is CLEAN! Ours never looks that good. 😉

Haha…videos can be deceiving. It’s pretty muddy right now. 😛
