Hey, folks! Happy New Year! I don’t know about you, but I find a lot of satisfaction in finding out what other people are cooking or just generally enjoying in life. I think that’s human nature; we’re all curious about other humans and we don’t like to miss out on things. 😛 I think this is why I find posts like “My Top 10 Favorite ____” or “The Most Popular Recipes from 20__” so interesting. As a human, I can get a little window into the lives of other humans, and as a content creator I can see what y’all are most interested in and take that into consideration in recipes in the future. For all you fellow curious folk out there, these are the recipes that you – my blog readers – loved most in 2019!
Comment Below!
Did YOUR favorites make the list? See any recipes that you plan to try soon? What are you currently obsessed with in the kitchen?

#10
Crustless Pecan Pie in a Bowl
Scoop of some kind of sugar free vanilla ice cream basically imperative.
#9
Pumpkin Delight
(NF, page 368)
This Pumpkin Delight has been on my site for years. It’s a classic.
#8
5-Ingredient Waffles & Pancakes
(NF, page 13)
Basically last minute supper when I didn’t get meat out to thaw. Natural peanut butter and sugar free syrup = my toppings of choice.
#7
Chocolate Dreamy
(CF, page 261)
Under the creamy chocolate Wendy’s Frosty-like façade lies a full cup of okra. Still one of the most popular recipes of all time on my website.
#6
Bri’s Better-Than-Ranch Dressing
Easy to whip up + cleaner ingredients than storebought Ranch + better flavor (imo).
#5
Mac & Cheese
(NF, page 123)
Any picky eaters are sure to be won over with this classic creamy mac and cheese dish! (Use the sauce over steamed or roasted veggies instead of Dreamfields pasta if you prefer.)
#4
Fiber Porridge Bulk Mix
Who knew how many of you need help getting things moving in the morning?? 😛
#3
Chicken Leg Quarters in the Crockpot (and Some Other Crazy Experiments)
I’m still a bit baffled as to why this was the third most popular recipe on my website last year, but maybe y’all like reading about healthy cooking and strange experiments in less-than-ideal circumstances! This post was published when I was living in a basement with few cooking amenities while working for my grandparents one summer.
Honorable Mention
Ryan & Briana: The Wedding
This post I listed as an honorable mention because even though it was actually ranked number three in popularity last year, it’s not a recipe. Unless you consider it a recipe for love and a good marriage. 🙂 This was our official wedding picture post!
#2
Briana’s Baking Mix
(NF, page 157; CF, page 345)
This is the homemade baking mix I use in a lot of my baked goods recipes! It’s received tons of great reviews over the years and it doesn’t contain any almond flour, so those of you with nut allergies, head on over! My mix is a little drier than THM Baking Blend and some people use about 3/4 cup of mine for every cup of THM Baking Blend, but other people use it 1:1.
#1
Single-Serve Lasagna in a Bowl
(NF, page 60)
Hey, we made it to number one! This single-serve quickie lasagna makes the perfect lunch or dinner when you’re on your own.

I am wanting to try several of your recipes, and have gone through many posts to see if I can find this information, but I cannot seem to identify what a ‘doonk’ is. 🙂
Is it just an amount that seems good for each person’s sweet tastes, or is it more quantifiable than that? (I would just experiment, but I have found that measuring seems more important when baking low carb, so I thought I’d ask.)
Thanks!
Lu says
Never mind, I found the video!
Briana Thomas Burkholder says
A doonk is Trim Healthy Mama’s made-up word for the really small 1/32 teaspoon scoop found in a lot of pure stevia extract powders. 🙂 So 2 doonks would be 2/32 teaspoon (or 1/16 teaspoon), 3 doonks would be 3/32 teaspoon, etc. But I always recommend sweetening recipes to taste, since taste buds vary so much with alternative sweeteners!

I LOVE the instant frozen coffee pudding! (Not to mention several others that made it on the list).
This past summer at the end of my pregnancy, it was unusually HOT here in Alaska and that frozen pudding hit the spot.
There’s an “Oreo crumble” that I stirred in that took it over the top. The recipe I believe was from Coach Becky, one of the THM coaches known for her ice cream. I came across it on Instagram. So delicious on top of your pudding!
Thanks for all the wonderful recipes!

Mmm…that sounds delicious!

Can I make coconut flour from the flakes for the Fiber Porridge Mix? I remembered to buy the unsweetened flakes but not the flour….
Thanks,
Tammy
Briana Thomas Burkholder says
Hi Tammy! No, I’m afraid that ground coconut flakes and storebought coconut flour act quite differently in recipes. Storebought coconut flour soaks up a lot more liquid.

Hi Briana. I am fairly new to following your blog though I have used a number of your recipes over the years, coming across them via internet searches. I have enjoyed getting to know you and sort of “following” your courtship and marriage, though reading about it all after the fact. Could you explain how you decide which are the most popular? Is it by comments, number of times a recipe was visited, number of times the recipe was downloaded, or something else. Thank you. I am just curious. ~Siobhain
Briana Thomas Burkholder says
Welcome! I go by the number of times a recipe or post on my website has been viewed in a certain timeframe. 🙂 Good question!

Instant Frozen Coffee Pudding is SO good!! We’ve recently fallen in love with your maple oatmeal bars! Oh and the Southwest Soup!

Yay! Thanks for sharing what you’ve been making!
