When you try to start eating healthy, some of the hardest things to give up are those fast foods and convenience foods that are oh so naughty – but oh so good. The longer you eat healthy, the more your taste buds will change and processed foods won’t appeal to you anymore, but until you get to that point it’s nice to have alternatives to your old favorites. Here are a bunch of my remade fast/convenience food favorites. I hope you enjoy!
Breakfast
// Yeah, you know those powdered sugar donuts that come in the bag with the clear window in the front. Those things are good.
Creamy Maple and “Brown Sugar” Oatmeal
//Â I wasn’t really trying to do a copy cat of the Quaker instant oatmeal packets, but that’s what this oatmeal tastes like!
// You may or may not agree with me, but I think this granola tastes like Quaker Oatmeal Squares.
// It’s not crunchy like Cinnamon Life cereal, but it does have the same flavors and the same granulated sugar crunch. I love it for a cold cereal replacement!
The Coffee Shop
// Talk about easy! This hot chocolate takes all of 5 ingredients.
// Hands-down one of the most popular recipes on my website. It’s going to come in handy this summer!
//Â I’m not saying that this is a frappe, but I’m not saying it’s not a good replacement for one either.
//Â My take on the quintessential iced coffee
// Since I’m not a coffee lover, cream sodas are one of my favorite things to get at a coffee shop. This one is a-maz-ing!
Fast Food
//Â The Jamocha Shake is my favorite fast food shake in the history of ever.
Mock “Chocolate Xtreme DQ Blizzard”
// I can never decide what Blizzard to get at Dairy Queen, but it usually ends up being chocolate of some sort. This one has brownie chunks. #swoon
//  I actually created this healthy version of the CFA favorite before tasting the real thing. Then I tasted the real thing and liked my version better.
Mock “Peanut Butter Cookie Dough DQ Blizzard”
// Just, yum. Peanut butter + cookie dough + Blizzard = best.ever.
Mock “Strawberry Cheesequake DQ Blizzard”
//Â If you’re not in the mood for chocolate…
Crispy Chicken Cheese Quesadilla
// Better than Taco Bell. Now I just need some salsa verde.
The Ice Cream Shoppe
//Â Moosetracks has always been a favorite ice cream flavor at our house.
Single Serve Mock “Moosetracks” Ice Cream
//Â This single-serve ice cream doesn’t require an ice cream maker and can be breakfast, dessert, or snack!
// In the not-so-distant past, I had an addiction to Birthday Cake Ice Cream. The kind from the carton. With blue frosting swirls.
//Â I inherited my love for butter pecan from my grandfather.
// I’ve never really seen the big deal with cookies n cream, but it was probably the most-requested ice cream flavor that I got over the years so I finally made a healthy version! Now I’m a fan.
// Dairy-intolerant people don’t have to be left out! My sister actually likes this recipe better than my dairy recipes. It’s so creamy!
Mock “Jello Pudding” Popsicles
// As a kid, I loved popsicles made with Jello pudding. I still do.
Other Convenience Foods
Briana’s House Low Carb Chocolate Chip Cookies
// These chewy chocolate chip cookies are the BOMB. Now I just need a crunchy version, like Chips Ahoy…
//Â OK, so this isn’t Little Ceasar’s and you have to make it yourself, but it’s easy, and it’s yummy, and my family loved it!
//Â Never, ever eat mac and cheese from a box again.
//Â I don’t have a lot of experience with Chinese takeout, but I don’t think this is too far off!

Hi Stacey! Thanks for your interest! My cookbook contains nearly all the recipes posted on my blog through July 2016. The next cookbook (which I’m working on as I have time) will contain the recipes published after that – plus exclusives, of course. 🙂
