I worked together with a bunch of my fellow bloggers to put together this roundup of twenty 5-ingredient meal, side dish, and dessert recipes! All are Trim Healthy Mama friendly, sugar free, and low-carb or low-fat. I considered water and salt to be “free” ingredients. 😉
UPDATE 04.02.19: Some of the blogs I linked to in this post originally no longer exist, so I’ve removed those links and added links to some other 5-ingredient recipes I’ve added to my site since this blog post was first published. The recipe count is more like 35 now. 😉 To see an index of all my 5-ingredient recipes (including any published after this update), CLICK HERE.

My cookbooks Necessary Food and Convenient Food contain about 400 low-glycemic recipes each, separated by carbs and fats and free of refined sugar and flour (like all the recipes here on my website). I grew up on my momma’s good cooking, and the recipes in these books are mostly just old family favorites made healthy! Now that I’m married, I’m gravitating even more toward quick and easy, and my newest cookbook definitely reflects that! CLICK HERE to check out my cookbooks in more detail and purchase.

Hi, I must find a web site where I can find food recipes that will not bother my “acid reflux”. I am a very determined person, so I am willing to lose weight, go on any diets that will keep me off of sugar, fats, milk, white flour, etc. I just received a box full of items that I purchased from THM so I could accomplish same; however, there were no recipes included so I could start cooking with the products. I have sooo many that my daughter in law searched for another sight and found yours. It is sooo helpful and includes much info from the THM. I am making several of your recipes to start out with as well as some of the THM. If all turns out well, I will surely order your cook book! I have access to one from THM and one from Alkaline Diet. So I have tons of info now if I can just figure out the best recipes so I can clear up my problem. I live in Ware Shoals, SC which is so close to Pickens. What a surprise – will probably lean more to your type of program as it seems to work from all of the comments that I have read. Thanks

Thanks so much for stopping by, Patricia! I hope you’re able to find recipes that work well with your issue. Sounds like you’re on the right track! I’m afraid I don’t know much about acid reflux and its causes myself, but I know that many health issues are eased or resolved by following an anti-inflammatory diet (which THM is!), so it sounds promising! I actually moved to Louisiana in February when I got married, but yes, I think you’re really close to where I used to live!
